1.What is the Name of Your Venture? Any specific reason for this name?
The name of venture is PLACIO. Word PLACIO is derived from PALACIO in Spanish. It means Palace living or grand living

2.Who is your target Audience/clients?
Our target audience is Student pursuing higher education in colleges and universities
3.Where is your venture based (city, state, country) & What are your geographical target areas?
We are headquartered at Noida, UP. The current are of focus is Noida and nex immediate focus would be National capital region (Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Gaziabad and Noida)
4.What problems does your venture resolve? What are your products or services?
We solve Student housing problem, faced by millions of students who move from their home town to study in other Cities. As per available data there are 50 Million Students studying in Colleges and Universities and 60-65% Students are from outside their home town. We offer Branded properties with assurances and professional management. These are purpose built Student housing properties, built around University Campuses .

5.Share the idea or story behind the venture. How did it came to an existence? What motivated you to start your own venture?
Tow corporate professional who had been working tirelessly close to 15 years of their life in various companies, hit by entrepreneur bug, finally taken the plunge and toured various Educations district to understand the problem faced by Students in their on Campus and off campus housing. They attracted by the sheer opportunity and market size which amounted to USD $ 50 Billion.
6.Who are your biggest competitors and how do you differentiate yourself from them?
Nest away (Colivng for corporate single), Coho (Major for Corporate single, minor for Student) and few others. We are clearly focussed in Student housing . We convert already existing Properties purpose built for students housing into PLACIO branded by redoing their looks & feel, making operations more efficient and professional, deploying our system tools and giving them full backend support.
7.How did you identify your co-founder? Tell us some thing about your co-founder/s
Rohit Pateria and Ankush Arora were known to each other for more than 10 Years. Atul Kumar Singh brought onboard when Plaicio taken over his venture CLICKAHOME Services.

Rohit Pateria is CA by qualification, having 16 Years of working experience in companies like Standard Chartered and Edelwiess at leadership positions. At Placio he is designated as CEO and responsible for corporate strategy and finance
Ankush Arora is Post Graduate in hospitality, having 15 years of working experience in companies like Angel Broking and Century 21 at Senior management level. At Placio he is designated as CBO and responsible for Product and Business strategy
Atul Kumar Singh is IIT from Roorky and PGDM from IIM Ahemedabad, having 10 Years of Corporate experience. Atul had on Startup exit as well. At Placio he is designated as COO and responsible for Operations
8.How did you hired your first team members? What skills Do you want in your employees/team?
We hired people with go getter attitude. They should have fire in the belly and entrepreneur mind set. More than qualification and experience we judge them on their attitude and passion
9.What expansion plans are you looking for the next 2 years, next 5 years?
Next 2 Years Placio will operate 25000 Beds with Expected revenue of 300-400 Crore. Next 5 Years Placio will operate 100000 Beds with expected revenue of 1200-1500 Crore
10.Where do you want to see yourself in next 10 years?
Turning Placio into next Unicorn and taking full time to groom new Entrepreneurs
11.What are your goals over the next 1, 3, 6 and 12 months?
In next 3 Month we are expecting Placio to operate our current capacity of 1200 Beds with full potential. For next 12 months our milestone is to reach 10000 Beds in Delhi NCR
12.Have you raised any funding? Or have any plans for the funding?
We are in plan to raise fund
13.What were the problems you faced during the starting days and how did you resolve them?
Finalising right product strategy is biggest task. You make mistake and learn from them. Yes funding is challenge to all startup
14.What was the most challenging part of your journey till now? How did you overcome those challenges?
Acceptability in the market in initial days, but our consistency and commitment made us successful
15.Are you married, single or in a relationship?
I am married and blessed with 2 Sons and 1 little princes
16.What are your hobbies? What do you do in your non-work time?
I love movies, music and books. I am at disposal of my family whenever I have time
17.Whats your favorite food & holiday destination?
I am not a foodie but my wife know better what I like. I like to holiday in lonely places away from crowd
18.Whom do you consider your idol or biggest motivator?
Steven copy inspired me to the core
19.What do you feel is the major difference between entrepreneurs and those who work for someone else?
Entrepreneurship drive you crazy, you have to win every battle to ultimately win your war. Entrepreneurship is very demanding and you are alone without any backup. You can not pass the buck, it stops at you.
20.If you had the chance to start your career over again, what would you do differently?
Would start one more business
21.How has being an entrepreneur affected your family & Social life?
Yes it makes you bit alone and isolated. Balancing become tough .

I am a Chartered accountant. My wife is Law graduate but managing home affairs with full backup to me
