1.What is the Name of Your Venture? Any specific reason for this name?
It is a nice question. We were looking for a name which totally justifies our app and something catchy with a user can relate with. While discussing tons of names suddenly one of the partners suggested this name SEARCHB4KHARCH. As soon as we heard this name all of us got thrilled and excited about it.
2.Who is your target Audience/clients?
Technically we should have a particular segment of the society who is going to be our target user but for us anyone who is using smartphones is our customer. We haven’t left any genre in the product segment and we constantly want to improve and upgrade the features according to the need of the users.
3.Where is your venture based (city, state, country) & What are your geographical target areas?
At present we are based out at the centre of India i.e Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Right now we are targeting tier 2 cities to capture the unexplored market.
4.What problems does your venture resolve? What are your products or services?
It is a solution for multiple problems. According to a research, most of the Indians use low configuration mobile phones on which heavy and multiples apps creates phone hang problem. Secondly, now the user does not have to juggle so many apps to shop or to book anything like flights, hotels, taxi, bus, food etc. Thirdly, users can search for a particular product or anything in all the leading sites in a single click through a special search bar. Lastly, it saves time, it saves data, it saves clicks. Ultimately user will get ‘N’ number of benefits by using SEARCHB4KHARCH.
5.Share the idea or story behind the venture. How did it came to an existence? What motivated you to start your own venture?
We all the partners were associated since a very long time. It was not a legal association but we all wanted to do something together which is out of the box. We had discussed ‘N’ number of business plans from all the sectors, but somehow we could not start anything.
One day I was searching diapers for my nephew. I saw all the leading online stores offering this but got surprised to see that all of them are offering different prices for the exact same product. It struck to my mind and I discussed it with my partners they also got surprised and then we decided to work on this idea. We started researching on it and then we found out that this is the idea on which we can work together.
6.Who are your biggest competitors and how do you differentiate yourself from them?
Our competitors like compareraja, mysmartprice are providing the solution for shopping products only whereas SEARCHB4KHARCH is a One App For All whether it is shopping products or buying services like flights, hotels, bus, taxi, food, recharge, movies etc.
7.How did you identify your co-founder? Tell us something about your co-founder/s
My co-founders are my pillar of strength. They believed in the idea and did everything to turn that idea into a concrete product. Firstly, I would like to introduce Mr. Dhiraj Jaiswani with you. He is a successful entrepreneur. He is a master of analyzing any situation and his business skills are unmatchable. Another co-founder is Mr. Mohit Sharma. He is an engineer by profession and expert in product designing. He has worked with various MNC’s. Users will see and feel his designing and expertise in the app. Last but not the least, there is one more co-founder Mr. Prashant Persai. He has been associated with organisations like IIT, MANIT etc. He has also been awarded for his project on Smart City.
8.How did you hired your first team members? What skills Do you want in your employees/team?
We hired our first core team of collating databases & content team through reference. This is most important for any start-up who can give their dedication & hard work. The most important skill which I prefer to have in my team is out of the box thinking and creating the idea which is sellable and easily adaptable.
9.What expansion plans are you looking for the next 5 years?
In 75% mobile phones in India (Laugh). But honestly the app is in good shape, it is offering lots of things to the users and it is also easing out the process of shopping and booking online. We would love to see ourselves using latest technology like Artificial Intelligence etc. to provide much superior experience to the user.
10.Where do you want to see yourself in next 10 years?
I can quote anything, but I want to achieve what I say. We would want to be a company which is known for its new age innovations.
11.What are your goals over the next 1, 3, 6 and 12 months?
We are planning to achieve to more revenue and enhance our reach to the masses. We have planned some innovative marketing plans to achieve that.
12.Have you raised any funding? Or have any plans for the funding?
Right now it is a bootstrapped. We haven’t raised any funding as of now, but we are planning to raise 3-5 million INR funding to promote the app and to enhance the product technology.
13.What were the problems you faced during the starting days and how did you resolve them?
During the initial days, right technology team, creating the right product mix and a bug free portal were the issues we faced. With time we were able to get the right set of people who have worked hard to create this amazing portal
14.What was the most challenging part of your journey till now? How did you overcome those challenges?
As of now the most challenging part is to get the user for my app. We are sure that product is good, but to let user know and to convince them is a difficult thing for any company. We are still trying to overcome this challenge and we are pretty sure that in 6 months time we will have substantial user base.
15.Are you married, single or in a relationship?
Yes, I am in a relationship with my app SEARCHB4KHARCH. No product can grow unless and until it lives in you.
16.What are your hobbies? What do you do in your non-work time?
Painting, Internet Surfing, Cooking. I write when I am not working.
17.What’s your favorite food & holiday destination?
Anything cook by my mom. If you have a great company then any place can become your favorite holiday destination.
18.Whom do you consider your idol or biggest motivator?
Not any particular. My motivators change very frequently. Anyone or any idea inspires me to do well is become my motivator.
19.What do you feel is the major difference between entrepreneurs and those who work for someone else?
Entrepreneurship comes with a sense of responsibility and involvement with the product. They live their product. Just like a parent of any child they would want to be known by the name of their product.
20.If you had the chance to start your career all over again, what would you do differently?
I would have done the same thing but with better utilization of the resources.
21.How has being an entrepreneur affected your family & Social life?
It has tremendously improved my personal life and has given me something to boast around (Laugh). On a serious note, it has helped me in understanding user’s need. We have integrated lots of features after knowing the user’s need.
22.Anything, you would like to say to our readers or upcoming entrepreneurs?
Keep adding values in everything you do. No matter how small or big your idea is. If it is not valuable to the end user, then it is of no use.
23.Tell us something about your education & family background.
I am MBA in marketing and advertising. My father is retired from Doordarshan and mother is still serving as a Home Minister of a family.
24.What is your USP which makes it unique & different from other startups in similar domains?
We cannot point out a single USP of SBK actually, there are many. The exclusive SEARCH BAR, in all the sections there is a separate SEARCH BAR from where users can search across all available online stores with a single click.

3S (Simplicity, Size and Speed)
Simplicity: We never wanted our users to get frustrated with the complexity of the features. We kept it simple so that even a layman can use it.
Size: The idea of keeping the size of the App to the minimalist as we wanted the APP to get installed in any phone. Speed: We have used the latest technology to make the loading speed faster.
25. What do you think is the biggest threat to the success of small businesses & Startups today?
As of now, I do not see any threat, but to remain in the scheme of things we have to have oxygen flowing and in business funds are the real oxygen.
26. Do you consider yourself successful and by what means do you measure success?
For me, success is all about achieving small goals. Firstly, we have initiated this product was a success. Secondly, we have created this product was a success. Thirdly, convincing and getting more than 50 vendors on board was a success. So in that case, Yes we are successful and eyeing much more success in the time to come.
