Did she not inspire you yet?! Ideas keep on coming and going but the biggest challenge relies in understanding which idea can be a successful endeavour and Theron, the journey begins. This interview is about a person who believes in preserving the human touch and using it to her maximum advantage. Never did she know that her kindness and humanity will bear such sweet fruits. Let’s have look at the inspiring talk by Hazeka Ginwala.

1. What is the Name of Your Venture? Any specific reason for this name?
Infinity. It is basically like a co-working space. The word infinity, because it implies that the users can have infinite number of places and use it in infinite ways. So, that was the idea behind the name.

2. Who is your target Audience/clients?
We target live coaches, trainers, people who conduct coaching classes and workshops but looking for an elite place.

3. Where your venture is based (city, state, country) & what are your geographical target areas?
Lullanagar, Pune, Maharashtra.

4. What problems does your venture resolve? What are your products or services?
My venture, as I have already told, that it resolves around people who conduct classes, workshops, training sessions. We provide an elite place, easy and under your budget.

5. Share the idea or story behind the venture. How did it come to an existence? What motivated you to start your own venture?
I, myself is a trainer. I am into graphology since 17 years. It deals with handwriting analysis. I started very early. So, being a trainer I looked out for various places to stay and conduct the workshops. Once I was assigned a hotel to carry out my work, which did not made any sense to me. This struck me. The whole idea was that the trainer should feel warm, secure and safe, so that is how I came up with this idea.
6. Who are your biggest competitors and how do you differentiate yourself from them?
There are a few competitors in and around Pune. The area which I have targeted was initially not used, considering that Pune is now expanding and taking care of the traffic. I have given the trainee a different target audience and place so that they can actually use up that side of the place as well.

7. How did you identify your co-founder? Tell us something about your co-founder/s?
I don’t have any co-founder. But, yes, my husband has been a constant support.

8. How did you hire your first team members? What skills do you want in your employees/team?
No, I don’t have any team members.

9. What expansion plans are you looking for the next 2 years, next 5 years?
I plan to develop the same replica of what I have now, in various other localities, and go beyond Indian countries. Today, we have physical training but what we are planning is to have online training sessions and people from all over the world can have access to that.

10. Where do you want to see yourself in next 10 years?
Obviously, physical and monetary expansion. To that basis I will venture out and give trainers also an identifiable place. So that they know where to go once they are in Pune.

11. What are your goals over the next 1, 3, 6 and 12 months?

Right now the plan is to do aggressive marketing and pitch in more clients for our venture. In next 12 months, I would like to have atleast 100+ returning customers.

12. Have you risen any funding? Or have any plans for the funding?
Yes, basically everything is now from my saving bucket. Nothing much from outside.

13. What were the problems you faced during the starting days and how did you resolve them?
The major problem we faced was Demonetisation. Since my venture is not more than a year. A lot of trainers were taking money in cash. I didn’t have any problem with any mode of payment but they did. It hit very badly, for 2-3 months there was less cash flow. But what was good about it was that we got a very good response. The second challenge was letting people know that this kind of place existed. Anyone cannot be a trainer here since we ourselves select our trainer.

14. What was the most challenging part of your journey till now? How did you overcome those challenges?
The biggest challenge was the marketing part. Over a period I have developed a lot of database. But initially we didn’t know much about advertising on social media. I am a pen and paper person so that also made it a little challenging.

15. Are you married, single or in a relationship?
Married and by god’s grace, I have one of the most supportive husband in the world

16. What are your hobbies? What do you do in your non-work time?
I am completely into reading.

17. What’s your favourite food & holiday destination?
I am vegetarian so anything vegetarian. About the holiday destination, I am a nature loving person. So, any nature bound place.

18. Whom do you consider your idol or biggest motivator?
My father is my idol. He has always motivated me never to sit back or sit idle. So, in that way I have learned and developed skills in various ways. And my biggest motivator is Mr. Milind Rajore from whom I have learned Graphology.

19. What do you feel is the major difference between entrepreneurs and those who work for someone else?
The major difference is the management of time in our work and personal life. An entrepreneur can have his command on time but an employee does not have this privilege. He is time bound.
20. If you had the chance to start your career over again, what would you do differently?
I think this is the best chosen career by god. I don’t think I would have done anything other than what I am doing right now. Things have fallen beautifully in place.

21. How has being an entrepreneur affected your family & Social life?
I feel more confident socially. Family is proud of me and they are happy that I am doing something of my own independently.
22. Anything, you would like to say to our readers or upcoming entrepreneurs?
One thing I would definitely like to say is that don’t get any funding which will become a liability in the long run. Any start-up needs time to grow, so be patient.

23. Tell us something about your education & family background
I am a B.Sc. in Human Development, MBA in HR and also Graphology have been practising since last 17 years.

24. What is your USP which makes it unique & different from other start-ups in similar domains?
We mostly have a unique touch while dealing with plan. We are not like a hard core company. We can also understand that when clients cancel, even they don’t have any turn up. I am very comfortable with refunds, even if I don’t have any bookings. The thing is that we believe in human touch and understanding client’s needs. There is business prospective, no doubt but we are more considerate towards our clients which other companies don’t do.

25. What do you think is the biggest threat to the success of small businesses & Start-ups today?
One is a known liability, which I feel is the biggest threat to small business. Secondly, sustainability is the key point. New start-ups often tend to lose patience and unknowingly take up this liability which becomes a threat in the longer process.

26. Do you consider yourself successful and by what means do you measure success?
Success is an ongoing process, I personally believe it.
