On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, state-run telecom carrier BSNL has announced the launch of a special plan, meant for gifting.
Meanwhile Vodafone too has launched special plans, albeit not under Rakshabandhan celebration, but interesting none-the-less.
BSNL’s Rakshabandhan Plan
BSNL’s special Rakshabandhan plan will get activated on August 26th, the day of Rakhi, which is an important festival all over the nation.
For Rs 399, users can get unlimited 3G Data, and unlimited calling for 74 days.
This is a special tariff voucher or STV from BSNL, which has one added advantage: Prepaid users who opt for this STV can make calls to their friends and family living in Mumbai and Delhi as well.
Other STVs from BSNL doesn’t have this feature.
Besides, users can also a personalized personalised Ring Back Tone (PRBT) along with this special plan.
While announcing this plan, BSNL CMD Anupam Shrivastava said that this can be an ‘ideal gift for anyone’.
Vodafone’s Special Prepaid Plan
Meanwhile jumping into the tariff war for capturing the slot of Rs 150, Vodafone has announced a new pre-paid plan.
Under this plan, Vodafone can get 1 GB Daily for 28 days, along with free voice calling and free 100 SMS. The cost of this pre-paid plan is Rs 159.
Clearly, this has been launched to counter Jio’s Rs 149 plan, and Airtel’s Rs 149 plan, which offers almost similar features and benefits.
While Vodafone will offer 1 GB per day for Rs 149, Jio’s Rs 149 plan offers 1.5 GB per day for 28 days, which is 42 GB total. Airtel’s Rs 149 plan offers 1 GB and unlimited calling.
Vodafone’s Rs 159 plan comes with a cap of 250 minutes of calling per day and 1000 minutes per week.
