An Association of Ayurvedic Practitioners along with Aayush Ministry & State Ministry of Higher Education to organize AAPCON 2018 in October, this year. Conference set to interpret the hurdles, initiatives, and future of Ayurveda in India.
The transition of Ayurveda practice in India since the second century BC to the formation of AYUSH Ministry in 2014 has been a long journey. As per the Association of Ayurvedic Practitioners (AAP), they have been at the forefront to promote evidence-based ayurvedic practice across the country. AAP has actively initiated various efforts to bring different stakeholders at a common platform to discuss impending issues and removing the bottlenecks in the practice of Ayurveda – ‘Science of Life’.
After three successful annual Ayurveda conferences held in the past years, the Association of Ayurvedic Practitioners set to organize the 12th National & fourth International level AAPCON 2018 in Mumbai on October 26-28, 2018. The conference will be held with the support of AYUSH Ministry and State Ministry of Higher Education. “AAPCON 2018 promises to be an academic and gastronomic delight covering all the varied facets of Ayurveda and its benefits. It will also prove to be a benchmark event establishing the need to standardized Ayurveda related therapies and medicines. An event striving hard to provide preventive and curative care for people suffering from chronic illnesses,” said Dr. Nilesh Doshi, Founder President & Organizing Chairman of the Association of Ayurvedic Practitioners, Mumbai.
Dr. Doshi, added: “Close to 800 doctors are likely to attend the conference. AAPCON 2018 will also witness dignitaries from government’s different departments and ministries. Several national and international level Ayurveda experts are expected to present papers on varied topics, such as Ayurveda and industrial relationship, opportunities in corporate hospitals, the role of pharmaceutical industry in Ayurveda, NABH accreditation and insurance and many more. There will also be a live workshop on Panchkarma”.
A major highlight of AAPCON 2018 will be a special program, titled as ‘Samudra Manthan’ and Dhanvantari Pradurbhav at Gateway of India on October 27, 2018. For the first time, people of Mumbai will be mesmerized by the 3D mapping and holographic show.
Excited about the conference Dr. K.R.Kohli, Director, AYUSH, Maharashtra State, said, “The number of people opting for Ayurveda treatment as a replacement for modern medical science for treating lifestyle diseases has increased in the recent years. Even government has been encouraging research in Ayurveda and has recently made the necessary budgetary provisions to boost Ayurvedic treatment on a large scale. AAP has been organizing seminars with co-operation of the government to campaign for the cause of Ayurveda.”
