VinFast Selects Siemens’ Innovation Platform to Create a Connected Digital Enterprise

Vietnam’s first car manufacturer, VinFast has now selected a suite of tools from the Siemens PLM software to create their next generation transportation and automotive design. This information has been announced by Siemens yesterday.
Siemens is currently supplying a digitalization solution across the globe for its entire automotive OEM value chain. This, in turn, can help Vinfast to create the first Vietnam-made automobile and eScooter brands, which has been an important goal of Vinfast. Apart from this, it can also help promote the development of the manufacturing and industrial sector in the country, the company revealed in a statement.
“Using the combined power of both product lifecycle management and manufacturing operations management technology is a key part of our digitalization journey”, said Jason Buxton, Chief Information Officer at VinFast.
“To drive innovation within the automotive industry, it is essential to have the right technology in place”, he said, adding that Siemens’ solutions could “empower automakers and the vehicle electrification supply chain to reduce development time and deliver high-quality solutions, with the ability to adapt to changes easily at every stage of the process.”
VinFast, as of now, has announced that they are going to launch the first Vietnamese electric car with the help of a connected MES and PLM digital enterprise solution, which, in fact, would be critical in achieving this goal.
With the help of a digital enterprise, VinFast could now leverage the new and disruptive technology across each of the domain of their operation to increase yield, reduce cycle time, and foster some of the new business opportunities, Siemens revealed in a statement.
“The vast portfolio of Siemens solutions that VinFast plans to deploy is a demonstration of the trust our customers place in our proven capabilities in taking products from the digital world to the real world,” said Alex Teo, managing director and vice president of Siemens Industry Software for South East Asia. — VNS.
