Aston Martin DBX SUV revealed with hidden skin

Following the trend of ultra-luxury SUVs in the market, Aston Martin is all set to launch its first ever SUV DBX. The DBX concept was revealed three years back and now finally it is in the final production form, doing some testing in the wild. And we have a first look at it, being shy to reveal its skin though.
As reported earlier, Aston Martin will keep the name DBX for its crossover, following its tradition of ‘DB’ models. The company has released a video and some pictures of the final prototype testing in some wild surfaces, proving its SUV-ness.
The DBX has a similar grille at the front like the other Astons like the Vantage, DB11 and DBS Superleggera. Unlike the DBX concept which had three doors, the production DBX will be a fully-practical four-door SUV. The rear of the car is mostly un-revealed yet under the heavy camouflage.
Speaking of his drive in the DBX development prototype, Aston Martin Chief Engineer, Matt Becker, said, “As an engineer, it’s genuinely exciting to get a feel for the car you’re working to create. DBX is a very different kind of Aston Martin, but we will be testing it in all conditions and across all terrains to ensure it delivers a driving experience worthy of the wings badge.”

Aston Martin DBX SUV off road

The Aston Martin DBX will take on the other luxury SUVs in the market like the Bentley Bentayga, Lamborghini Urus, Ferrari’s upcoming Purosangue crossover and even Porsche’s popular SUVs.
“The DBX is scheduled to be unveiled in the last quarter of 2019 and will be built at Aston Martin Lagonda’s St Athan facility, a state-of-the-art luxury manufacturing plant that will ultimately become the ‘Home of Electrification’ when the marque’s fully-EV models enter production,” said Aston Martin in a statement.
