INCUBATION & SEED GRANT from IIT Madras Incubation Cell

Chennai, TamilNadu (May 14, 2018) – Antariksh Waste Ventures Pvt. Ltd. having been incubated earlier, has additionally received SEED GRANT from the IIT Madras Incubation cell.

In Urban India, around 62 Million Tonnes of Garbage is produced daily & only 28% is treated or recycled. With need for real-time reports and rapid response to social media issues, administration needs modern digital tools to effectively manage their daily operations. Mayors, Commissioners, Collectors – are facing unprecedented work oversight pressure with the rapid advent of social media powered governance.

Skilled sanitation workers with assisting technology can execute their operations smartly and earn merit based rewards. Antariksh products will eventually assist workers and admins to take smarter data-assisted decisions while empowering citizens to contribute in building a smarter waste management eco-system.

The company is working on designing and building of new hardware using LoRa and NB-IoT technologies, which are specifically optimised for the low-power consuming Internet of Things eco-system. The hardware products include Bins and platforms equipped with environmental modules consisting of many sensors like temperature, humidity, smoke, organic matter detection, etc. The cloud-connected Apps already include multiple modules for sanitation worker and their admins, sanitation & recycling partners, Municipal admins/Mayors, etc.

The grant received will primarily be used to speed up development & deployment of prototypes.

Antariksh Waste Ventures is actively seeking out partnerships for Pilot deployment with Municipalities, Smart Cities, Gated Communities, Large Corporations, Recycling & Waste Segregation teams.
