TCS and JLR Forge £800M Strategic Alliance for Digital Services

A new future-ready, strategic technological architecture will be built by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and JLR’s digital division in order to restructure, streamline, and help manage that company’s digital estate and support the latter’s “reimagine” agenda.

For more than ten years, TCS has worked with JLR Digital to optimise and advance the premium automaker’s growth and innovation goal. This connection is built upon by the new agreement, which will be worth £800 million over the following five years.

To assist JLR improve its digital capabilities, convert, streamline, and manage its Digital estate, and create a new digital core that will support its business transformation, TCS will draw on its contextual knowledge, deep subject experience, proprietary platforms, wide partner ecosystem, and talent pool.

TCS will provide a wide range of services, including application development and maintenance, enterprise infrastructure management, cloud migration, cybersecurity, and data services, as part of the new relationship. According to TCS in a regulatory filing, this alliance will provide significant savings for JLR over the next five years through supplier synergies and economies of scale, freeing up free cash flow for future investments.

Outside of the new contract, TCS and JLR are working together to further JLR’s vision of a contemporary, luxurious client experience that is adapted to various global markets.
