Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) totalling over INR 770 crores were signed at the 15th Annual Adventure Tourism Convention 2023 in Ekta Nagar, a promising prelude to the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit. The Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) arranged the convention, which was backed by the Gujarat Tourism Corporation that took place against the scenic backdrop of the Statue of Unity.

During his inaugural speech, ATOAI President Ajeet Bajaj announced joint efforts with the Bureau of Tourism to improve regulations for adventure tourism all over India. The objective of this strategic alliance is to improve the overall condition of adventure tourism as well as establish a strong foundation for the tourism industry throughout the entire nation. Gujarat Inks 10 MoUs Worth 770 Crores for Tourism Development

The Gujarat government announced that it had signed of ten Memorandums of Understanding pledging an investment of Rs 770 crores for the growth of the state’s tourism sector. These agreements were finalized in the Narmada district’s Ekta Nagar ahead of the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, which is set for taking place in January of the next year.

The Memorandum of Understandings cover a wide range of projects, such as a world-class entertainment zone as well as culture theme park in Gandhinagar (Rs 400 crore investment) along with a four-star resort, conference, and convention area in the tribal-dominated Narmada district (Rs 145 crore investment).

With the help of these endeavors, local communities will be able to create jobs for around 450 tribal members as well as 1,100 individuals, respectively.
