Kylie Jenner becomes the youngest ‘self-made’ billionaire at the age of 21 and we could not agree more!

On Tuesday, Kylie Jenner has been announced as the youngest self-made billionaire across the globe by Forbes Magazine. Well, thanks to her booming cosmetics company line which she founded around three years ago. Kylie nailed it just in a span of three years and made it become the youngest self-made billionaire just at the age of 21.

Jenner is the half-sister of the reality television known faces and that is Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian and she has made it onto the list by Forbes of billionaires after debuting her cosmetic range by the name Kylie Cosmetics in the year 2015 with lip kits worth $29 which contain lip liner and lipstick of the same contrasting colors. Forbes has announced that she is the best of both the worlds. She is not only the youngest billionaire but also the youngest self-made billionaire ever.

Born and brought up in Los Angeles, California, Kylie is not just an entrepreneur, but along with that, she is also an America reality television personality, a socialite, a social media personality, as well as a model. Her journey as an entrepreneur has been quite interesting. In the year 2012, when she was just 12 years old, she collaborated with a clothing brand, PacSun along with her half-sister Kendall. They further created a clothing line named Kendall and Kylie. In the year 2015, she launched her own cosmetic line about which we all know too much. Not just this, she also released one mobile app for her cosmetic line that made it to the number one app on the iTunes App Store.

Other than the recognition she got now, her list of awards and titles can go on for a while. She might be one of the few to have an achievement scale at such an early age. The Time Magazine in the year 2014 and 2015, listed the Jenner sisters as the most influential teens citing the considerable influence, she has on teens not just in India, but all over the world.

She completed her education from Sierra Canyon School. She was also a member of the cheerleading team in the school and has performed various community plays. In the year 2012, she also became homeschooled, and also sent her enrolment at home education program. Then she graduated in the year 2015 in July with a high school diploma from Laurel Springs School in Ojai, California.

Other than Kylie Cosmetics, she also owns 2 nail lacquers which go by the name Wear Something Spar-kylie and Rainbow in the S-kylie.

It is surprisingly amazing to see that she started something so meaningful and amazing at the age of 18 and made it to billionaire stuff at 21 only. Forbes has this thing where they differentiate between people who have inherited their billionaire-ship from their parents or anything, and amongst those who have become a billionaire on their very own. According to the data of last year, Kylie Cosmetics made a sales turnover of about $360 million according to the Forbes magazine. Jenner also has a one-year daughter and owns the 100 percent of the company.

Not just with Kylie Cosmetics, but her pockets also get filled due to her brand endorsements which she does along with appearances which make on Television on the show, ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’. She has been ranked at the 2057th number on the list of Forbes 2019.

Last year, Kylie Cosmetics also signed a deal with another company which is Ulta Beauty Inc. to let Kylie put all her products in all the retail stores of them which is around 1,163 United States stores. In the words of Jenner to Forbes, ‘It’s the power of social media. I had such a strong reach before I was able to start anything. I think contouring and lip liner definitely changed my life,’

She has a good number of almost 175 million followers on Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, and even Twitter. All this was in a way a great contributor even before she started her own thing.

This is the reason that only in the first year of her Kylie cosmetics company, she had a turnover of almost $307 million. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, she is known to have an estimated worth of almost $1.02 billion. When asked about her experience on winning the title as such by Forbes she said, ‘I didn’t expect anything. I did not foresee the future. But [the recognition] feels really good. That’s a nice pat on the back.’

When asked about her future plans, Kylie said that she is going to work on this company of hers for an entire lifetime and then pass it on to her daughter, Stormi who just turned one this year.

However, like every successful person gets people pointing fingers on them, Kylie also faced a lot of questions when Forbes referred her to ‘self-made’ billionaire. They hassled about how she belongs to a rich family and how half of her fame is because of her sister Kim Kardashian. Well, they may be right to some extent, however, the hard work she has put in, the innovation she brought, the ideology, and her will, we must give her that credit.

She is in all terms the definition of a ‘self-made billionaire’ without a doubt and also an inspiration to men and women around the world. She is not just an inspiration for the people of her country or India, but people all across the globe especially women and teenagers who keep waiting for the right time so that they can start with their goals an aim in life. Well, people, there is no right time. Kylie started with her ambitions at the age of 12 when we cannot even think about anything other than school or play.

Her journey of following her dreams and innovation has brought her the title she very clearly deserves in the best possible!
