On Friday, a magistrate court denied Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, bail on the basis of maintainability and the court’s authority. The sessions court, where Aryan Khan and also the others will ideally need to file an appeal for their bail, will be closed on the second Saturday of the month, that forcing them to spend the weekend in the prison’s quarantine cells as well. Judiciary also turned down bail applications from his friends Arbaaz Merchant, 26, and Munmun Dhamecha, 28.

Because it was the end of the court day and dictation would take too long, the court just said the operative section of the order; reasons would be given later. On Friday, Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood actor Badshaah Shah Rukh Khan, was taken to Mumbai’s Arthur Road prison right after a local court denied him bail in a drug seizure case.

Khan’s lawyer, Satish Maneshinde, said in court that delivering the operative part was good because they would be prepared to go to sessions court if necessary. On Friday, a local court in Mumbai literally denied him bail in a drug seizure case. As per a police spokesman, five other men detained in the case were ideally also transported to the same jail as well, while the two women charged, including Munmun Dhamecha, were brought to Byculla women’s prison. He later declined to comment on the matter so also.

With the weekend approaching, it will be two nights in jail before a new bail plea is heard in the sessions court. The pleas that filed by Aryan Khan, his friend Munmun Dhamecha, and also Arbaaz Merchant, who were arrested this week in a drug raid on a luxury cruise ship, were “not maintainable,” according to Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate RM Nerlikar, even as the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) who expressed concern that Khan could tamper with evidence and influence witnesses.

“For the time being, the court has denied the bail motion since it was not maintainable.” So, now we’ll go to sessions court and file a bail request,” Arbaaz Merchant’s lawyer, Ashwini Achari, told news agency ANI.

 

The bail applications, according to ASG Singh, should be filed with the special court designated to hear the offenses under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

 

ASG Singh claimed that the offenses alleged against the accused were all entirely triable by the sessions court, citing Section 36A of the NDPS Act.

According to the news agency PTI, Aryan Khan, whose bail has been denied for the third time likewise, and others will have to spend the weekend in the two prisons’ quarantine cells just because the sessions court, where they will ideally need to file an appeal for bail, which will be closed on October 9th, the second Saturday of the month as well. The official informed the news agency that they would not receive any preferential treatment inside the institution.

In the meantime, Sameer Wankhede, the NCB’s Mumbai zone director, stated on Friday that his agency and the prosecution will work together to bring the cruise ship raid case to a logical end. “Our case is strong,” Wankhede added, “and it will be presented in the sessions court.” according to ANI.

After the completion of their NCB remand, the metropolitan magistrate sentenced eight defendants, including Aryan Khan, to 14 days in judicial custody. When an NCB squad led by Wankhede stormed a party and recovered drugs on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai on Saturday, Aryan Khan and seven others were apprehended. On Sunday, they were formally arrested. Following the raid on the cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai, the Narcotics Control Bureau has arrested 18 persons and allegedly recovered drugs.
