What is High Security Registration Plate (HSRP)?

The registration plate encloses a hot-stamped hologram of Ashoka Chakra – chromium based on the top left corner which measures precisely 20mm × 20mm and blue in colour. Left corner at the bottom of the plate holds a 10-digit PIN (permanent identification number) that is laser- engraved on the reflective sheet.

In the same way, High Security Registration Plate (HSRP) also comes with registration letters and numerals bearing the term ‘India’ at a 45-degree angle with a hot-stamped film applied on the top. It is then electronically linked to the vehicle after the unique registration is fixed.

The prominent reason behind this mandatory rule is that the earlier used number plates were quite easier to be damaged, tamper and can be changed or taken out easily. The High Security Registration Plate (HSRP) resolves this entire issue by having a uniform pattern.
