The new routes include flights to Johannesburg, South Africa; Nairobi, Kenya; and Lagos, Nigeria.

  1. Johannesburg, South Africa: IndiGo’s direct flight to Johannesburg will provide a convenient connection between India’s bustling commercial centres and the economic hub of South Africa. InterGlobe Aviation, the airline management company, is responding to the increasing demand for international travel to, from, and via India by introducing 174 extra weekly international flights from June to September 2023. These flights will include new destinations, routes, and frequencies.

Once the additional routes are online, IndiGo will link 32 overseas locations, an increase from the current 26. According to the corporation, these new flights will open up tremendous possibilities for travellers looking for continuous connectivity, whether on vacation or travelling for work.

IndiGo Airline Has Enough Planes to Fuel Growth This Decade, CEO Says - Bloomberg

“With the first forays into Africa and Central Asia, including these exciting new destinations, new direct flight routes, increased aircraft frequencies, and strategic codeshare alliances will help us grow our footprint over four continents.
