Uddhav Thackeray Suggests ‘E-Bhoomi Pujan’ of Ram Mandir, Anger Express By Sant Samaaj

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray suggested that Bhoomi Pujan of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya can be conducted through video conferencing in light of the pandemic COVID-19 widespread. However, expressing the anger on Ridiculing Uddhav Thackeray’s advice, the saints said that the Ram Mandir‘s ceremony is not some government meeting that can be held with the video conferencing.

In an interview published in the Shiv Sena’s spokesman ‘Saamna,’ Uddhav Thackeray said, “An e-Bhoomi Pujan can be organized through video-conference due to COVID-19 pandemic. This is an occasion of joy, and lakhs of people would be interested in watching the ceremony live. The normal Bhoomi Pujan can cause the pandemic to spread, so can we allow the spread of the pandemic COVID-19?”

“This is not an ordinary temple, and lakhs of people would be running to join the ceremony. Will you stop them? Also, many won’t be able to attend this historic event even I can go Ayodhya for the ceremony, but what about those lakhs of Ram Bhakts who won’t be able to join. Today, we are fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic, and religious gatherings are prohibited due to stop the spread of the novel virus. Therefore you can do e-Bhoomi Pujan through video-conference,” he suggested.

On the senseless advice given by Uddhav Thackeray, Ram Mandir Trust Secretary Champath Rai said that this is not a government meeting that can be done through video conferencing. We can’t have the E-Bhoomi Pujan as the Bhoomi Pujan of the mandir has religious sentiments attached to it, and it can be only be done in the presence of people, he explained.

It should be noted that Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, a trust set up by Supreme Court to construct the Ram temple in Ayodhya, has already issued an advisory for the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony. The trust has also focused on all the necessary precautions for the COVID-will be taken during the ceremony.

The Ram Mandir’s Bhoomi Pujan ceremony is programmed to be held inside the Ram Janmabhoomi complex, and around 200 high-profile guests are expected to attend the Ram Mandir’s Bhoomi Pujan in Ayodhya. Ram Mandir’s ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ ceremony is going to be held on August 5 in Ayodhya. Around 250-300 people that includes Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to attend the Bhoomi Pujan. 

The height of the temple has been increased from its original design to 161 feet, and two mandaps are also added to the design, according to the temple architect said.

The Ram Mandir’s construction is expected to take a minimum of three to three and a half years to complete. 

The Ram Janambhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is also planning to ask financial support from 10 crore families across the country to construct the beautiful and magnificent Ram Mandir. The Supreme Court powered Ram Janambhoomi Trust will open postal donations for the bhavya nirmaan.

Prominent temples will send the holy soil in the construction procedure of the Ram Mandir.
