WhatsApp is introducing the Whatsapp Premium membership function in the most recent beta version

WhatsApp is introducing the Premium membership function in the most recent beta version.

It seems that WhatsApp has at last found a way to make money off of its platform. The business is releasing a fresh promotion that includes subscription options, giving consumers access to new features. Before you freak out, let me reassure you that the “WhatsApp Premium” membership is only available for the WhatsApp Business edition and is not intended for regular users.

Given that the business has finally admitted its intentions to launch a subscription service for enterprises, this is not unexpected. With the help of other social media sites like Facebook and Instagram, Meta generates a lot of money. The only free service provided by the business to users without adverts or subscription options is WhatsApp.

According to a recent WaBetaInfo article, WhatsApp has started rolling out Premium subscription plans for different institutions. The costs have not been said, they probably vary depending on location.

Three premium features, including personalized business links and improved multi-device compatibility, are available with the membership. The first one should be rather obvious. It means that business owners will be able to give customers access to a business page and a customisable contact link. According to reports, the site would show the ability to alter the connection every three months.

This function is very similar to the one that Telegram’s Premium subscription delivers. Instead of having to type in a phone number, it should make it easy for customers to find a company. Owners of corporate accounts will be able to use the messaging app simultaneously on ten separate devices thanks to the second feature.

For multi-device forms, the regular edition only supports four devices. 32 people can participate in video calls using the premium version.

The most recent beta builds of Android and iOS both show the new addition. When the stable version will get this feature is now uncertain. Given that this new function will be voluntary and that the platform won’t compel users to use it, WhatsApp Business users don’t need to worry about it.

WhatsApp hasn’t made public statements about this. But now that the platform is launching the beta version, further information, pricing and other features, should soon be made public.

Opening WhatsApp Settings will show a new section called “WhatsApp Premium,” which indicates that the business account is eligible to join the optional premium plan. WhatsApp Premium is a premium plan that some business accounts can choose to subscribe to.

Businesses can use two new Avant services when they sign up for WhatsApp Premium by paying a particular subscription price, which may vary by country:

A business link is a one-of-a-kind short URL that allows customers to access the landing page of a business and just initiate the discussion by opening a customized link, such as https://wa.me/mybusiness, which is changeable earlier every 90 days.

It should be noted that it expires when your subscription is cancelled, so other companies may later claim it. Businesses aid customers in remembering their company connection by selecting a unique URL that corresponds to the business name.

Important multi-device improvements: Businesses that subscribe to WhatsApp Premium are allowed to connect up to 10 devices, making it easier for them to manage their discussions when more workers inside the firm are messaging consumers using the same WhatsApp account.

Remember that all features are still free for businesses: Your existing usage of the business app will not change if you decide not to subscribe. Businesses that require certain sophisticated services can access some features through WhatsApp Premium, which is just an optional plan.

You can revoke your subscription to WhatsApp Premium at a time through the App Store or Play Store and continue using the service during the rest of the current billing cycle. Furthermore, we can be sure that WhatsApp Premium won’t be made available to users of the consumer app since this is a service that is only for businesses.

Businesses in some countries can now use WhatsApp Premium if they install the most recent versions of the Android and iOS WhatsApp Business beta. Be prepared if you don’t see “WhatsApp Premium” in the WhatsApp Settings because it is now only being made available to particular companies in a few regions.

WhatsApp plans to expand the premium plan’s availability to other business accounts in the future. As always, we’ll let you know when this occurs in a new article or tweet.

By following WABetaInfo on Twitter, you can stay up to current on WhatsApp news and learn about all the further improvements made to WhatsApp beta for Android, iOS, Web/Desktop, and Windows!
