On Thursday, Mr. Singh officially filed his candidacy with the Federal Election Commission, as reported by The Hill newspaper on Friday.
Prior to Mr. Singh’s announcement, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, aged 51, and millionaire entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, aged 37, had already declared their candidacy from the Republican Party for the 2024 Presidential election.

Among the contenders, they will also face former US President Donald Trump, who is currently leading in the race for the Republican Party’s nomination for 2024, despite facing legal challenges.

The Republicans are scheduled to convene in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from July 15-18, 2024, for their national convention to officially select their party’s next presidential nominee.

Mr. Singh, in addition to his political aspirations, labeled himself as the “only pureblood candidate” due to his stance on not receiving COVID vaccinations. He has previously contested in Republican primaries for the governorship of New Jersey in 2017 and 2021, for a House seat in 2018, and for the Senate in 2020. However, he was unsuccessful in securing the Republican Party’s nomination on those occasions.

During his most recent run for governor, Mr. Singh positioned himself as a more conservative option aligned closely with former President Trump, but he ultimately came in third for the nomination, which was ultimately awarded to Jack Ciattarelli.

Mr. Singh is considered one of several long-shot candidates in the race, alongside contenders like former Cranston, Rhode Island, Mayor Steve Laffey, Michigan businessman Perry Johnson, and Texas pastor Ryan Binkley, as reported.
