On Tuesday, L&T Construction declared that the Water Resources Department of the Government of Odisha has given its Water & Effluent Treatment (WET) business repeat orders worth between Rs 1000 crore and Rs 2500 crore to carry out the Cluster XXII and Cluster XXV Mega Lift Irrigation Projects.

It stated that the overall scope of work entailed implementing 19 lift irrigation schemes, which would irrigate a culturable command area of 28,944 hectares in the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal, and Nabarangpur on a turnkey basis.

The intake points for these schemes would be dispersed across the Manjore reservoir, Brahmani River, Rengali Left Main Canal, Rengali Right Main Canal, and Indravati Reservoir.

In addition, the scope covers the establishment of a distribution network, connecting to the power system, and fifteen years of operation and maintenance for the complete commissioned infrastructure.

Additionally, the company has obtained a turnkey add-on contract from the Madhya Pradesh government’s Water Resources Department to carry out pressurised piped lift irrigation projects for the purpose of irrigating about 34,942 hectares of culturable command area in the Dewas District.

The business states that important orders are valued between Rs 5000 crore and Rs 7000 crore, mega orders are valued beyond Rs 7000 crore, and substantial orders are valued between Rs 1000 crore and Rs 2500 crore. Large orders are valued between Rs 2500 crore and Rs 5000 crore.
