A second independent candidate supporter allegedly suffered a critical injury in a fight at Kadambagachi, North 24 Parganas. His relatives said that he was murdered by beating. His condition is necessary, according to SP Bhaskar Mukherjee of the Barasat district police, and he is receiving medical attention there.

C V Ananda Bose, the Governor of West Bengal, visited with people in several regions to assess the situation. He denounced the violent occurrences and stated, “It should worry us all. The most important day for democracy is now. Elections must be conducted through ballots, not firearms. State Election Commissioner Rajiva Sinha asked all the district magistrates for information on the number and deployment of the personnel in response to complaints citing the lack of Central forces at several voting places.
