IndiGo Airline Will Not Provide Food And Will Reduce Seating Capacity For Some Time After Lockdown

Companies can make many changes to protect passengers when the airline starts after the lockdown imposed due to Corona virus in India. The CEO of the airline IndiGo has said that food service will not be provided during the flight for some time and only 50 percent of the seats in the aircraft will be filled. Apart from this, there will be special emphasis on cleanliness.

Airlines CEO Ronojoy Dutta said on Friday, “In situations like these, companies do not manage growth or profit but manage cash flow. This means that our only focus is on cash flow. We are studying all our fixed costs and are looking for ways to reduce them. ”

What did the CEO say?
Dutta said that after the lockdown, Indigo’s plan would be to first start services and gradually increase capacity. “We always take more care of safety and now we have to take care of health as well” he said in an email to employees on Friday. “Keeping this in mind, we are considering changing many of our operational processes. New procedures are yet to be decided”.

He said, “We will clean our planes many times and will ensure more cleanliness than before, we will stop serving food in the aircraft for some time and we will fill our coaches only by 50 percent.” We will bring new procedures soon.

Only planes carrying relief items or any other important items allowed to fly

India has imposed a lockdown for 21 days to fight the Corona Virus global pandemic. In view of this backdrop, all domestic and international commercial passenger flights have been suspended for this period. However, the Indian aviation regulator DGCA has allowed cargo planes, off-shore helicopter operations and aircrafts to fly with relief items or any other thing of emergency during the lockdown.

Cases in India rise to 6412; Death toll rise to 199

In India, the cases have increased to 6,412 on April 10. The Ministry of Health gave this information. In the data released on Friday, the ministry said that there have been 199 deaths due to Covid-19 infection in the country and a total of 5,709 people are currently infected with the epidemic. So far, 503 people have been fully recovered after treatment or have been discharged from the hospital. Of the 27 states and 9 union territories of the country, Maharashtra has reported the highest number of corona virus infections at 1,364. It is followed by Tamil Nadu at second place with 834 cases.
