Startup Bonatra Acquires MyAva On May 2 Over Holistic Health Mission

The healthtech startup Bonatra acquired femtech startup MyAva on May 2 to offer combined holistic approaches for treatment of chronic health conditions.

Bonatra, the Bengaluru-based healthtech startup, acquired the femtech startup MyAva on Tuesday, May 2.

This acquisition aims to help expand Bonatra’s holistic programs on healthcare, allowing it to manage chronic health problems in a versatile manner, the company declared. 

However, the acquisition cost details have not been revealed. With greater reason, the deal was largely to include women’s health issues and put forth comprehensive treatments for the same.

MyAva was set up in 2019 by Evelyn Immanuel as a female-centric health and wellness buddy. It offers women to control chronic health conditions, namely, thyroid disorders, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), insulin resistance, infertility, etc.

All women need more than just a period and pregnancy tracker. Therefore, MyAva came up with personalized programs especially curated for overall health and wellbeing of women.

It had established itself as a trusted source of medical expertise digitally among women.

On the other hand, Bonatra follows the concept of Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) quite religiously to manage and treat chronic disorders such as fatty liver, obesity, PCOD, hypertension and diabetes. It is a doctor-led start-up, founded in 2022 April, and is based in Bengaluru.

The management team consists of the CEO Rahul Kishore Singh, CMO Manjari Chauhan, COO Ramanpreet Singh and CTO Amit Acharya.

The combination of technology with clinical acumen helps Bonatra achieve the desired holistic health among its clients.

Bonatra mainly targets in balancing hormones, resetting the gut with the right supplements, correcting imbalance of gut (gut dysbiosis), and harnessing detox procedures naturally to prevent toxicity by heavy metals.

It offers solutions through various fitness and nutritional interventions and customized lifestyle strategies.

The IoMT device is an easy-to-use tool that analyses multiple health parameters before going for personalized treatments.

The CEO and co-founder of Bonatra excitedly announced the joint venture of Bonatra with MyAva in providing holistic approaches for the treatment of chronic health diseases.

The close-knit working of both the health tech and femtech startups would help the general public in taking proactive measures to reverse their severe afflictions and also provide them with prevention and management techniques.

Recently, MyAva raised a fund of 5.5 crores for a Pre-Seed Round conducted by the ITI Growth Opportunities. It also noticed avid participation from angel investors like the Founder of Blackbuck, Rajesh Yabaji and Nestaway Founder, Jitendra Jagadev.

On the same note, the next plan of Bonatra is to introduce novel IoMT devices in the coming six months into the Indian market. The new device is aiming to bring together data science, medical science and technology in the form of a small ring.

With recent advancements in technology and medical science, the unified efforts of Bonatra and MyAva will highlight better diagnosis and treatment for chronic health conditions of both men and women in a digital space.

The Covid-19 pandemic has ascertained the graveness of the health tech industry nationwide. The health tech market in India is supposed to escalate to $21 Billion by 2025.
