Coming soon: New Ertiga, Mahindra Y400, Hyundai Santro launch dates revealed

Festive season is here and as usual, a number of new launches and offers are pouring in from the car manufacturers. We have already seen a long list of cars been launched in past weeks and the streak is going to continue for at least next one month or so.
Some of the major car manufacturers have announced launch dates for their upcoming models, in case you want to book in advance. Here are some of the much awaited and anticipated models about to hit the market.

1. Mahindra Y400

Launch date: 19th November 2018
Expected price:  ₹ 21-24 lakh
Mahindra hasn’t officially named this car so it’s still being called by its codename Y400. It will be placed above the XUV500 and will be the flagship model of the company. It is likely to get only one engine option- the 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that will deliver 187hp and 420Nm of torque. Being the flagship model, we expect the SUV to come fully equipped with features.

2. New Maruti Suzuki Ertiga

Expected price: ₹ 7-12 lakh
Ertiga is the most popular MPV in the country with a huge number of sales on a constant base. The second generation Ertiga will be launched in India next year with a fresh look and more features. The new Ertiga will take on the recently launched Mahindra Marazzo.
It is likely to continue with the same diesel engine but the petrol version will get the new petrol hybrid engine that was launched in the new Ciaz recently.

3. 2019 Hyundai Santro

Launch date: 23rd October 2018
Expected price: ₹ 3.5-5 lakh
Hyundai is bringing back the Santro hatchback after years in an all-new avatar. The new Santro is based on the same platform as the Grand i10 and carries a modern compact look. It will also come loaded with many features inside the cabin. Hyundai ran an online campaign to decide the name of the new car and the same ‘Santro’ turned out to be the choice of the two-thirds of the people.
