However, despite the initial challenges, the Vibrant Gujarat Summit has flourished and become a significant platform for promoting investment and economic development in the state.

He mentioned that when Vibrant Gujarat was first initiated, there was a shortage of suitable accommodation for foreign guests attending the summit. Large hotels were scarce in Gujarat, and even government guesthouses would often be fully occupied.

In those initial years, the organizers had to utilize university guesthouses and other available facilities to accommodate the influx of foreign delegates and guests. This anecdote highlights the remarkable evolution of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, which started with limited resources but has since grown into a globally recognized event that attracts dignitaries, business leaders, and investors from across the world.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his speech at an event commemorating 20 years of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, invoked the wisdom of Swami Vivekananda. He quoted Swami Vivekananda’s words, stating that every work goes through three stages: first, it is mocked; then, it faces opposition; and finally, it is accepted.

This quote from Swami Vivekananda emphasizes the resilience and determination required to bring about change and transformation. It highlights that pioneering initiatives often encounter skepticism and resistance before gaining acceptance and recognition.

In addition to reflecting on this philosophical insight, Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated several development projects worth ₹5,206 crores in Chhota Udepur, Gujarat. These projects are aimed at enhancing infrastructure and promoting progress in various sectors, including the provision of village Wi-Fi facilities in 22 districts, further demonstrating the government’s commitment to the state’s growth and development.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Gujarat on September 27 will be marked by the inauguration of several significant projects. Under the Mission Schools of Excellence project, development works worth ₹4,505 crore will be inaugurated and dedicated by the Prime Minister. These projects are aimed at enhancing educational infrastructure and providing quality education to students in the state.

Additionally, PM Modi will inaugurate a new Navodaya Vidyalaya built at a cost of ₹23 crore in Dahod, which will contribute to the advancement of education in the region. Furthermore, an FM Radio Studio constructed at a cost of ₹10 crore will also be inaugurated, promoting communication and broadcasting facilities.

One of the noteworthy initiatives to be inaugurated is the village Wi-Fi facilities, which will benefit approximately 20 lakh beneficiaries in 7,500 villages across 22 districts. This move towards digital connectivity and accessibility is in line with the government’s efforts to bridge the digital divide and empower rural communities with internet access.
