3. Mercedes-Benz AMG GT 63 S E Performance

The newest GT 63 S from Mercedes-AMG has just been unveiled; it now bears the ‘E Performance’ suffix. The four-door coupe is AMG’s most potent car to date and has more power than some tuners have achieved.

The most significant thing to note is that this vehicle combines championship-winning Formula One know-how with good road manners, which will cause buyers of the BMW M5 CS to reconsider accepting a race. This is the vehicle we initially thought would be called the GT 73e. But this technical marvel is much more than its headline figures, so let’s look at what Affalterbach has given this four-door coupe.

Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance review: 831bhp PHEV tested Reviews 2023 | Top Gear

The iconic 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 from Mercedes-AMG is back in action. It generates 630 horsepower and 663 lb-ft of torque at this location. Theoretically, it would be enough to trump the M5 CS. Still, Mercedes has equipped the vehicle with an electric drive unit that can provide an additional 201 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. The all-wheel drive system can produce an astounding 831 horsepower with its nine-speed automatic gearbox. With a total torque rating of between 744 and 1,084 lb-ft, you can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in under three seconds; The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 124 mph in less than ten seconds. And up to a peak speed of 196 mph.

An electronic limited-slip differential is included within the two-speed gearbox of the electric motor on the rear axle. This configuration, sometimes called a “P3 hybrid,” may provide electric power to the front axle.

AMG Ride Control+, which has a multi-chamber, self-levelling adaptive air suspension, and ceramic composite brakes, which include front callipers with enormous six-piston callipers, are additional features. Be prepared for outstanding comfort, handling, and braking abilities.

Get ready to obsess over numerous minutiae because, without control, all that power is nothing. The drive mode control system, AMG Dynamic Select, is where we begin. The options available here include Electric (with a maximum range of seven miles and reachable at speeds of up to 80 mph), Comfort, Sport, Sport+, RACE, Slippery, and Individual. For ultimate safety, slippery provides decreased power and a flat torque curve and turns off the brake regeneration system to avoid any unexpected road responses.

This car is made for speed, as evidenced by the laughably short all-electric driving range. It was “designed for fast power delivery and draw, not for the longest possible range,” according to AMG. In Individual driving mode, you may alter how the automobile handles itself using the Basic, Advances, Pro, and Master sub-settings. According to Mercedes, even seasoned drivers will receive the best help from the system without feeling patronized.

A 6.1-kWh battery that weighs an amazingly light 196 pounds powers the ingenious hybrid system. It has a constant. This device has a consistent output of 70 kW and can reach a peak of 150 kW. 10 seconds. The system’s novel direct cooling technique, which cools each of the 560 cells separately using a non-conductive liquid, makes it so ingenious.

In more conventional methods, air or water cools the complete battery pack. As a result, they approach their limitations exceptionally rapidly, which is why early EVs were rumoured to be incredibly fast on their initial runs but somewhat disappointing once they had had some time to cool. Because of this direct cooling system’s equal heat distribution and repeated high-performance charging and discharging capabilities, you may use as much EV power as you like while racing.

It also means that the system continuously employs regenerative braking to replenish the battery with no reduced performance when giving it the beans on the track. That decreases the likelihood that your battery will eventually need to be replaced.

4. Porsche Panamera

Several alternatives exist in the wide-ranging Porsche Panamera lineup for customers looking for a sportier-than-average automobile. Customers may pick between the conventional four-seater with a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 that produces 325 horsepower and sportier ‘S’-monikered cars that employ an output-boosting version of the engine to produce 443 hp. For those who think Porsches should be seen and heard, there is a 473-hp GTS model at the top of the lineup.

New Porsche Panamera - All you need to know - CarWale

Although there are four seats, be aware that the Porsche Panamera is a family sedan. The space in the rear is still quite constrained, and competitors like the Audi RS7 and BMW M5 may be more helpful if you want to transport guests in luxury. But Porsche excels at providing the driving enjoyment for which it was intended. It is a true delight to drive because of the outstanding handling and grip that lasts for days (especially on all-wheel-drive models).

The 2017 Porsche Panamera sedan only undergoes a few modifications. Still, adaptive cruise control with automated emergency braking is now a standard feature, and the optional 14- or 18-way electrically adjustable seats no longer come with an electronic steering column. The adjustment is now manual on primary four and 4S vehicles powered from the GTS and above. The most significant new feature of the upgraded infotainment system is that Android Auto is now wireless. The Porsche Panamera lineup else stays the same for 2023.

When handling and driving, Panamera models provide the best of both worlds: they are comfortable enough to be used daily yet perform just as well when given a chance to become enthusiastic. The versions with adjustable air suspension are delightful to drive since they smooth over any road conditions that would upset the apple cart and maintain their flatness when accelerating through corners.

It’s not a track weapon, but the GTS, in particular, has enough power to give you a thrill and a little rush when you floor it. The steering feel is respectable, and there is enough input to connect with the car. Making the most of your vehicle will require choosing the appropriate driving mode.

In February 2020, Mercedes-Benz introduced the new AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC Plus sedan in India. Our customers gave AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC Plus a perfect rating 100. The AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC Plus competes against the Lexus LX, BMW XM, and Mercedes-Benz AMG GT 63 S E Performance in India.

6. Maserati Quattroporte

The 2023 Quattroporte enters the next model year essentially unaltered. The infotainment system now has Wi-Fi capabilities, and all trims include a hands-free power trunk release. The new 20-inch Perseo alloy wheels on the GT from this year replace the 19-inch Poseidone alloy wheels on the previous two grades. This year, there are fewer options for interior colour schemes, exterior paint colours, and optional add-ons. The range still has three trim levels, but the costs have increased by about $10,000 to $12,000. This implies that even the base 2023 Maserati Quattroporte GT model now costs more than $100,000 with its $108k starting price.

Starting at 1.80 crores, the Maserati Quattroporte costs in India. Nero, Bianco, Nero Ribelle, Grigio Maratea, Grigio, Blu Passione, Rosso Folgore, Bianco Alpi, and Blu Nobile are just a few of the nine hues that are offered for Quattroporte. There can fit five people in a Quattroporte. The Quattroporte gets 8.2 to 9.4 kilometres per litre. A 5-Star (Euro NCAP) safety certification has been given to the Quattroporte.

Three different models and one fuel type—petrol—are offered for the Quattroporte automobile. Powered by a 2979cc engine, the Quattroporte petrol variants have a maximum output of 345 horsepower at 5500 rpm. In addition, Quattroporte is available with a 3799cc petrol engine, which has a max output of 572 horsepower at 6500 rpm.

7. Maserati Ghibli

The 2023 Ghibli is the vehicle it was last year, carrying the same design, features, and specs. Specific optional components have been eliminated for the car’s second-to-last year on the market, and the selection of options, paint colours, and packages has been reduced. Its costs have also risen and increased dramatically by over $10k each trim – notable rises of over ten per cent. The starting price for it in the USA is $85,300.

Maserati Ghibli and Quattroporte Trofeo Revealed - V-8 Maseratis

In March 2018, Maserati introduced the new Ghibli, a Sedan, in India. Ghibli now has a 93% user approval rating. Because of its comfort and style, Ghibli is preferred.

When you take the Ghibli out on the road today, it still holds its own after all these years. More so than many other mid-size sedans, it maintains a satisfying amount of agility, and its handling is precise and entertaining, which is in keeping with what the average buyer will probably anticipate from their Italian stallion. The steering lacks the responsiveness of a sports car, but given that it must maintain its amenity as a luxury vehicle, this is not a deal-breaker.

The ride is also a little harsher than you might anticipate for a vehicle in this class, but it never gets unpleasant and is still plenty compliant. Although it doesn’t ride as comfortably as some competitors, we believe that Maserati customers demand a sharper edge and will likely be satisfied with the compromise they receive here. A terrific soundtrack is provided by the magnificent, powerful engine tone, which completes a sedan that is still quite enjoyable to drive despite its age.

8. Mercedes-Benz S-Class

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz S-Class returns with only a few new colour and upholstery choices. The S-Class is the Mercedes-Benz of Mercedes-Benzes and the company’s flagship sedan. There is still nothing quite like an S-Class, despite constant competition from luxury powerhouses like the BMW 7 Series, Audi A8, and Tesla Model S. The most recent version gracefully bears the mantle.

It’s loaded with technology, from the enormous OLED touchscreen to the many active safety features. Underneath all the frills, it’s a nice car that achieves a fantastic balance of comfort and quickness. Every engine is powerful and smooth, and the cabin pampers passengers with luxurious leather and plenty of legroom.

The S-Class is showing some indications of deterioration. Here and there, less expensive switchgear may be seen, and the style is more of an evolution than a revolution.

The S-Class qualified for the finals of our 2021 Car of the Year roundup, but it lacked the excitement necessary to win. The electrified Mercedes-Benz EQS-Class may compete with the S-Class for the flagship position, posing the most existential danger to the S-Class.

Three different powertrains are offered for the 2023 S-Class. They all come with an automated gearbox with nine gears and an all-wheel drive.

The only model without a V-8 is the S500. Instead, it features a 3.0-litre turbo inline-six. ThisThe vehicle produces an impressive amount of power, with 429 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque combined—a mild hybrid system. The EPA estimates Mercedes-Benz’s fuel efficiency to be 21/30 mpg city/highway, and the company claims a 0-60 time of less than five seconds.

With a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V-8, produces The S580 produces 496 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Ups the ante. The S580 completed the 0-60 sprint in four seconds flat when we tested it. The Mercedes-Maybach S580 has the same powerplant; however, because of its additional weight, it gets 15/24 mpg instead of 16/25 mpg in fuel efficiency.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class makes its world debut today

The lineup’s king is the Mercedes-Maybach S680, which tunes the V-8 up to a jaw-dropping 621 horsepower and 664 lb-ft. The limousine can go from 0 to 60 in 4.4 seconds despite weighing more than 5,000 pounds. At 12/21 mpg, fuel efficiency is predictably subpar.

Mercedes-Benz sedan has traditionally used the S-Class as a platform to showcase its technical prowess. Although this version is less revolutionary, it is still the most effective use of MBUX technology.

The focal point is a central 12.8-inch, portrait-oriented OLED touchscreen. The 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster is a delight, but we appreciate that Mercedes-Benz hasn’t pushed everything to flow via one screen as Tesla did.

Almost any operation may be carried out verbally thanks to the intelligent voice activation software already built in. Standard features include wireless smartphone connectivity, navigation, surround sound, and wireless charging.

Drivers are recognized by fingerprint (or, optionally, face scanning) recognition and personal memory settings are restored. Nearly all features are present on every trim, and everything has a futuristic feel. Only a 3D instrument cluster, Wi-Fi capabilities, a more complex surround sound system, and an augmented reality head-up display remain possibilities.

9. Mercedes-Benz AMG E63

With other German powerhouses, BMW and Audi, Mercedes-Benz and its AMG subsidiary produced various performance vehicles when the sedan’s appeal began to wane. The Mercedes-AMG E63 sedan, the BMW M5, and Audi RS7 considerably kept sedans in the limelight. And what better way to do so than to add flair to an elegant sedan?

The AMG E63 S has a twin-turbocharged V8 engine with 603 horsepower, high-end equipment, and a slightly frightening exterior. It is built on the E-class chassis. Its sedan can comfortably fit people in the rear seat while being outrageously strong and brutally swift. It also manages to maintain an air of elegance and refinement throughout. But because the V8 is going away, this could be your final chance to acquire one. It won’t stay forever.

The AMG E 63 S sedan returns for 2023 after a year away with no significant alterations. As a farewell to AMG E63s powered only by combustion engines, a special Final Edition package is made infrequently accessible. Performance specifications remain the same, although it only comes in matte Graphite Grey Magno paint and the blacked-out AMG Night Package accessories. Inside, a Final Edition plaque is affixed to the centre console, and the performance seats are upholstered in Titanium Grey Pearl and Black Nappa leather with yellow contrast stitching.

The AMG E63 S is one of the easiest performance sedans to drive, with a point-and-shoot style perfect for inexperienced drivers. It’s no less enjoyable for those with more expertise, and running between traffic lights will become second nature. The different drive modes include the typical Comfort, Slippery, and Individual settings, while Sport, Sport Plus, and Race will enthusiastically tether you to your seat. Additionally, four Dynamics options are available that can customize the handling to your preferences and enable some slides if that’s what you’re trying for.

Mercedes-AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+ priced at INR 1.5 Crore in India | AUTOBICS

The E63 Sedan is a superb, comfy cruiser that poses as a subdued executive in its most relaxed setting. We use the word “masquerading” because, although absorbing road surface abrasions and preventing excessive passenger jostling, it’s still reasonably stiff: The dual nature of its personality is undeniable. It will quickly navigate accelerated turns like the fast sedan it is.

Despite having superb dynamics sedan, the powerful 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged car has a V8 engine that can produce 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. It continues to steal the show.

10. BMW 7 Series

BMW is set to release a new premium sedan in 2023 to replace its current 7 Series, which has been on the market for seven years and is now in its sixth generation. The new 7 Series is packed with advanced technology and features BMW’s signature sporty style—the latest design language, providing a glimpse of BMWs to come. There is an entirely The BMW 7 Series now has an electric version that rivals the Mercedes EQS and Tesla Model S. Additionally, mild hybrid systems have been added to both engine options for the first time. There are several other luxury cars, such as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Audi S8, and Genesis G90. Big luxury cars the 7 Series competes against.

The previous 7 Series was less of a driver’s car and more of a comfort-oriented mode of transportation than you might anticipate from a BMW. The 2020 745e plug-in hybrid’s ride was as cushiony and soft as an ancient Buick’s, and its steering and brakes were as unimpressive. Although the build quality was excellent, the inside of the BMW lagged behind the modernity and elegance of Mercedes and Audi and competitor vehicles.

BMW wants to expand on the equipment and comfort qualities of the previous 7 Series sedan models while enhancing the powertrain and chassis performance with the new model. It also emphasizes the grille overbite of the previous generation.

Like the premium sedan, it succeeds, the 2023 7 Series has six- and eight-cylinder engine options, but BMW has modified and enhanced those engines with 48-volt mild hybrid systems. BMW’s newest 3.0-litre turbo inline-six with the B58-codeThe generates 375 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. (up to 398 horsepower and 398 pound-feet with a boost from the hybrid system). While all-wheel drive will be available, it is not a required feature. Rear-wheel drive will be standard. The 740i will need just 4.6 seconds to reach 60 mph.

The 760i xDrive, a rebadged version of the 750i xDrive from a year ago, is propelled by a more powerful 4.4-litre twin-turbo V-8. It now produces 536 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. All four wheels receive power via an eight-speed automatic gearbox. 4.1 seconds, according to BMW, the new mild hybrid technology may provide higher fuel efficiency than the 750i’s 17/24 mpg.

Customers can find that the technology has significantly improved over the previous 7 Series. A single piece of curved glass up front housing the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and the 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The BMW Interaction Bar, a brand-new feature, is a full-width lighting strip that responds to entry and leaves, housing touch temperature controls and improves the operation of the ambient lighting system. Each rear door has a brand-new 5.5-inch touchscreen panel that lets users adjust numerous comfort and media settings.

The available BMW Theatre Screen, though, is the actual technological highlight. A massive 31.3-inch 8K touchscreen display from the headliner folds down for passengers in the back seat as part of the new optional system. Passengers may play games, watch downloaded material, stream video and music from various applications, and obtain information like weather forecasts thanks to Amazon Fire TV connectivity.
