Xiaomi recently turned Redmi into its own sub-brand to focus on budget devices only, a move aimed at against Oppo’s move with Realme. Redmi and Redmi Note are the most popular series under the sub-brand.

The company is now set to launch two new devices under the new sub-brand.

Redmi Note 7 and Redmi 7, both the seventh generation Redmi series devices will launch next week. The all new ‘Redmi’ sub-brand will debut with two new smartphones in the market: Redmi 7 and Redmi Note 7.

The upcoming Redmi Note 7 has been spotted on the certification site in China, TENAA. The TENAA Redmi Note 7 listing has revealed some key specs. The seventh generation Redmi Note 7 will have a new design language, much similar to its competitors.

After a long wait, now finally Xiaomi will be adapting to the trending gradient colours and designs.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 has been spotted with a glossy back, a first for the Redmi Note series.

Upfront, Redmi Note 7 will feature a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display, backed by a 3,900mAh battery. The TENAA Redmi Note 7 listing further revealed that the smartphone will come in three variants, all with an additional storage option via an external memory card.

The leaked pictures of Redmi Note 7 show a device in purple and red gradient design, similar to what we saw on other mid-budget smartphones like Realme 2 Pro and Honor 9N. The company till now used metal and polycarbonate backs for its other Redmi Note smartphones.

At the back, Redmi Note 7 houses a dual camera setup placed vertically (similar to Redmi Note 5 Pro) with a circular fingerprint sensor at the centre. Another previous leak suggests, Redmi Note 7 may sport a rear triple-camera setup, with so details further.

Just like its sibling, Redmi 7 has been spotted on the TENAA listing as well. The listing has revealed that Xiaomi Redmi 7 too will come with a gradient colour toned design on the out. The smartphone has been spotted with red and gold colour design.

Redmi 7 has already been leaked a couple of times before, where Xiaomi is being rumoured to launch three new Redmi 7 devices soon.

Much of the details are still under the covers, but it may sport similar specs as Redmi Pro 2. Redmi 7 is being speculated to come with the Sony IMX 48-megapixel sensor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor and a 4,000mAh battery.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is expected to launch as early as next week. The company recently took out Redmi to establish it as a sub-brand, and hence the early launches make sense. Redmi Note 7 India launch will happen soon after the global launch. So, the Redmi 7 India launch is expected around the same time.

Redmi Note 6 Pro made its India debut very recently, so the Redmi Note 7 India launch may take some time.

The company is likely to launch Redmi 7 first, as part of the company’s new Redmi series. So, the Redmi 7 India launch is may happen by the end of the second quarter and the Redmi Note 7 India launch by another couple of months.
