The center has informed the states that although Covaxin and Covishield will be provided to all private and government health facilities at the same time, the type of vaccine will not be disclosed to the beneficiaries during the appointment.

Guidelines for registration and Coronavirus Vaccination For 60+

  • Citizens will be able to book vaccine doses through www.cowin.gov.in and the Aarogya Setu app.
  • The vaccine dose will be administered between 9 am and 3 pm. It is possible to reserve a seat once within this time frame, but it depends on the situation and availability.
  • The beneficiary should bring photo identification proof documents, such as an Electoral Photo Identity card, Aadhar card, ID proof specified during online registration, and certificate of co-morbidity for the age group between 45 and 59 years.
  • After the beneficiary receives the first dose, a temporary QR-based certificate will be issued twice. You can also take out a printed copy of the certificate from the vaccine center.
  • One mobile phone number can be used to register up to four beneficiaries.
  • The second dose will be scheduled on the 29th day of the first dose. The beneficiary can also arrange for their second medication between the 29th and 42nd day of getting the first medication.

According to data from the Ministry of Health, approximately 10,000 private hospitals under the Ayurman Bharat program and 600 private hospitals under the central government’s health scheme will be used as vaccination centers. The guidelines believe that the total vaccination time of a cycle should not exceed the target number of doses.

The state government must also mobilize the weaker sectors, those who cannot use digital devices for vaccinations.

Although the government agency provides free Covid vaccination, the center has capped the cost of each injection in private hospitals to 250 rupees.
