Get Ready: The Big Bash League is around the corner

With almost nine successful running years, the Big Bash League is back and is all ready to take off on the tenth of December this year. After completing IPL or the Indian Premier League, where Mumbai Indians emerged as the winners, a new ray of hope has set in all of the cricket fans worldwide.

The Big Bash League T20 tournament will see the first match between Sydney Sixers and Hobart Hurricanes. With the name of cricket, all of the fans are sitting in tight to throw in their predictions. Some do it according to the statistics, while others just to support their favorite team. We are here to instil you with all the best Big Bash predictions that you could probably think about to all of the cricket fans out there.

While you sit on tight, we will hand you the statistics and our big bash predictions on a silver plate. Starting with:

#1: Sydney sixers:

Having won two matches in its court and the inaugural season of the BBL, this team is undoubtedly the one to watch out for. With the victory of BBL 09, Sydney sixers have almost the same squad lined up for this year. Tom Curran, one of the players, had an excellent year. Carlos Brathwaite, on the other hand, faces some difficulties with the bad, whereas the bowling techniques might not be much promising as well. But Jack Edwards, Lloyd Pope, and Hayden Kerr the cup might be theirs for this season as well.

#2: Sydney Thunders:

Last year, securing the third spot was considered mostly as an improvement for the team as it had a habit of staying in the bottom for the years before. With Shane Watson no longer a part of the team, the batting will fall on the shoulders of Alex Hales. Ben Cutting had a good season last time and is hoping for the same this time too. Sydney Thunders will have to work extra hard if they want to make it out of the league stage, which is the biggest problem in their lives.

#3: Adelaide Strikers:

Losing in the knockout game in the last season, they may be looking forward to grabbing their second win this year. They won the title in 2017-18 and have been one of the most impressive and consistent sides in the last few seasons. The bowling here would be in the hands of Rashid Khan, who has had a great IPL season. Wes Agar, Daniel Worrall, and Danny Briggs are all in to play a significant part in the bowling line up.

#4: Brisbane Heat:

Winning the title in 2012-13 was the only good thing that happened to them in the entire BBL. Ever since, their ride has been somewhat downhill. This team has not been able to make out of the knockout stages since 2016-17. Chris Lynn, Tom Barton, and Max Bryant are being considered as the saviors but have not been much of a help in the past; we doubt that it would be this year too. Though the management is looking forward to getting everything going from the start, this can be a comparatively better year.

#5: Melbourne Renegades:

From the win in 2018-19 to win only three matches last season, we can indeed say they have seen everything in the history of BBL. This happened mainly because the players found it difficult to act together, but the tea would like to keep all this behind and make a fresh start. Finch and Marsh are proven to be at the end of their career. At such time, adding Rilee Rossouw is being considered to be a smart move. James Pattinson is seen to be re-entered after a successful journey with Mumbai Indians, where Imran Tahir is also up for support.

#6: Perth Scorchers:

The most successful team in the history of BBL, having won three titles 2013-14, 2014-15, and 2016-17. But this all ended for the team in the last two seasons where they finished sixth and seventh on the points table. Jason Ray and Liam Livingstone are one of the six-hitting guns people may be excited to watch. The only weakness for the team would be the lack of spinners. Rest assured, the team looks all set to reclaim what is it’s.

#7: Hobart Hurricanes:

They lost in the elimination round and had an average year for the last season. They have not been able to win the title despite having made to the decider round twice. Darcy Short is going to fill in for Wade. Dawid Malan is one of the top batsmen in T-20. If he can deliver the same game quality as he does internationally, the team is quite a serious contender. However, the batting and bowling are not balanced for Hobart Hurricanes.

#8: Melbourne Stars:

They lost yet again in the finals for the second time in a row. They did perform well in the league stage but somehow manages to wreck it all in the knockout stage. This year can be seen as the year when the side finally overcomes the final hurdle. Bairstow and Pooran have played exceptionally well in the IPL, where Bairstow will be opening along with Stoinis. This can be a huge threat combined.

There would be a total of 61 games to be played amongst eight teams. The Big Bash League is finally here!
