“In No Case Can Fresh Urine Be Recommended For Human Consumption”: Why Is IVRI Spreading Fake News About The Authenticity And Efficacy Of Holy Gomutra? Is IVRI A Deep State Agent Working Against Indian Ayurveda!

India’s premier animal research body, Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), has said that the Cow urine is not suitable for human consumption as it contains harmful bacteria. A study carried out by the ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute in Bareilly (IVRI), reported in April 2023, discovered at least 14 types of dangerous bacteria in cow and bulls’ urine samples, including the Escherichia coli bacterium, which is usually connected with stomach diseases in people.
Why is IVRI misleading, because experts from various domains said that ‘cow urine’ is effective for human tummies? Who are these ‘cow urine’ pundits?
IIT Madras Chief.
Recently, a video featuring IIT Madras director V. Kamakoti, in which he purportedly praises gomutra (cow urine) for its “medicinal value,” has gained significant attention on social media. In the video, Kamakoti is said to have highlighted the “anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and digestive properties” of gomutra and claimed its effectiveness in treating conditions like Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). The remarks were reportedly made during Kamakoti’s participation in an event at a Go Samrakshana Sala (cow protection center) in Chennai. During his speech, he also recounted a story about a sanyasi (monk) who, he claimed, consumed cow urine to recover from a high fever.
Bootstrapped Indian Startup Maestroo Sridhar Vembu.
Zoho CEO Sridhar Vembu has come out in support of IIT Madras director Prof V Kamakoti, who recently faced criticism for his comments regarding the medicinal properties of cow urine or ‘Gomutra’. Vembu expressed his support on social media by stressing the great achievements made by the IIT director to research and education. Vembu claimed that the belief that cow urine has medicinal effects is not unfounded or superstitious, but rather consistent with current scientific study on gut health, which is critical for both physical and mental well-being. He described people ridiculing these ancient rituals as narrow-minded individuals who have nothing to do and just participate in internet mobs. Is he pointing towards people similar to fellows of IVRI?
BJP Minister, A Medical Expert, And A Renowned Cancer Surgeon Vallabh Kathiria.
Chairman of Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog Vallabh Kathiria informed a media outlet in 2020 that following the coronavirus pandemic, consumption of goumutra and goumutra ark, or condensed cow urine, in the state had skyrocketed to roughly 6,000 litres a day. Kathiria, an oncology surgeon and Union minister of state for health and family welfare said that “Apart from improving digestion, the holy goumutra makes the lymphocytes stronger and are rich in antioxidants”, adding that “use of goumutra kills bacteria and will definitely be helpful in fighting the coronavirus”.
The holy ‘cow urine’ is not only good for human health, but is also potentially beneficial for financial health, as per Mr Kathiria, as he asserted that “out of 4,000 gaushalas in the state of Gujarat, 500 are involved in collecting and processing cow urine; and with this demand of cow urine on the rise, the gaushalas can easily become self-sustaining”. Possibly, that’s one glimpse of the famous ‘Gujarat Model of Development’!
Not only Mr Kathiria, another BJP family member in 2021 confirmed that she was saved from pandemic just by the grace of gomutra. BJP MP Pragya Thakur said “I Drink Cow Urine Every Day, So Don’t Have Covid”.
Then why is IVRI against the consumption of ‘holy cow urine’?
India is a country that is the land of Ayurveda, and hence, there are several ayurvedic practices that are beneficial for humans. Why should a government organisation, located in the holy lands of Uttar Pradesh, be spreading the lies? How far reaching can the consequences be?
The IIT Director, a cancer surgeon, is openly discussing the potential health benefits of cow urine, as they want Indians to be fit and healthy. The Indian citizens should not bear the burgeoning costs of cancer treatments, hence, the oncologist himself, by putting a kick on his career and livelihood is giving free advice to Indians about the affordable remedy to treat cancer, and IVRI is misleading them!
And Mr. IIT Director, Mr Vembu and Mr Kathiria are not the only people who are supporting cow urine. There are other pundits as well.
Recall the famous ‘adulterated’ Tirupati laddu case from September 2024. Mahant Ravindra Puri, president of the Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, an important body of seers, suggested that Hindus feeling guilty about having eaten adulterated prasad unknowingly at Tirupati Balaji can purify their system by consuming Ganga jal or Gomutra (cow urine). Since adulteration was poisoning the mental health of people consuming prasad, hence, drinking ‘holy cow urine’ will not only cure their digestive tracts, but also will give them inner peace. What else can you demand from a drink, which is not only treating the person physically, but also mentally. Definitely, something is wrong with IVRI!
Why is IVRI making such false claims? Don’t they want Indian tummies to remain happy and healthy? Or they are a deep state agent working with Allopathy to remove the virtuous Ayurveda from Indian soil forever?
