Police said that Moosewala, who was 28 years old, was shot while driving his SUV with two other people in the village of Jhawahar Ke in the Mansa district. He was pronounced dead at the Mansa Civil Hospital.

Viresh Kumar Bhawra, the head of police in Punjab, said, “Moosewala left his home in Moosa village at 4.30 p.m. Around 5:30 p.m., he was driving his jeep with two other people when two cars following him cut him off and shot at him.

As part of the Aam Aadmi Party (aap) government’s plan to cut back on security, Moosewala’s security was cut in half from four to two on May 26. This was said to be done to have more police for ghallughara diwas (marked to protest Operation Bluestar).

The Punjab Police told 424 people, including MLAs, religious leaders, dera heads, and retired police officers, that their security would be cut or taken away. Some religious leaders had their safety lowered or taken away, including the officiating Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh, the Radha Soami Satsang Beas chief, Takht Kesgarh Sahib Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh, and the Dera Sachkhand Ballan chief, Sant Niranjan Dass.

Mansa Senior Superintendent of Police Gaurav Toora said that on Sunday, Moosewala did not take “the two commandos who were part of his security detail or his private guards, telling them that he was going for around.”

DGP Bhawra said that the killing “appears to be the result of a fight between two gangs, as the name of Moosewala’s manager Shagunpreet Singh came up in the murder case of Vicky Middukhera.”

Shiromani Akali Dal leader Vicky Middukhera was shot and killed in a market in Mohali’s Sector 71 in August of last year. The police caught three shooters, and one of them said that he was Moosewala’s manager, Shaganpreet. Since then, Shaganpreet has been on the run.

DGP Bhawra said police are looking into what part the Lawrence Bishnoi gang may have played in the killing. On Sunday, hours after Moosewala was killed, a man named Goldy Brar from Canada, who is said to be a member of the Bishnoi gang, posted on Facebook that he killed Moosewala and that the police didn’t do anything about Middukhera’s murder.

The DGP said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had asked the Inspector General (Bathinda Range) to put together a special investigation team to look into what happened.

Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Mann asked for calm and said that no one who did wrong would be let off. “The horrible murder of Sidhu Moose Wala has left me very sad and shocked. No one will be let off the hook. His family and fans worldwide have my deepest condolences and prayers. “Ask everyone to stay calm,” he wrote on Twitter.

In response to Moosewala’s death, Chief Minister Mann tweeted, “I am deeply saddened and shocked by Sidhu Moosewala’s horrible murder… No one will get away with it… My deepest condolences and prayers go out to his family and all of his fans around the world… I appeal to all to remain calm.”

Moosewala was from the village of Moosa, which is close to Mansa. Over the past few years, he has sung many hit songs. He ran for the Assembly on a Congress ticket from Mansa earlier this year, but he lost to AAP’s Dr Vijay Singla by 63,323 votes. Dr Singla is the minister who was fired by the AAP government and arrested this week on alleged corruption charges.

In November of last year, it was a big deal when Moosewala joined the Congress. However, the Congress MLA from the Mansa Assembly constituency, Nazar Singh Manshahia, rebelled when the party gave him a ticket and said he would vote against the singer.

You might be wondering why everyone was so busy. People were getting ready to see their folk star Amar Singh Chamkila perform, which everyone was looking forward to. Also, read about a situation that proves Chamkila was a man of his word.

Back then, Chamkila was nothing short of a miracle. People used to wait in line in front of his house to go on dates with him. In a nutshell, Chamkila had become a synonym for Punjabi music at that time. By the time the clock struck 12, there were already many people there. But Chamkila had not yet come.

After a while, around 2 p.m., a jeep finally sped up to the scene. Chamkila got out of the front seat, and then his wife Amarjot and some other musicians got out of the back seat. The crowd cheered and shouted in happiness. But what happened next was probably something no one could have thought of.

But Chamkila’s death is still a mystery. Several conspiracies were made up about who the attackers were. One idea was that the attackers were part of a separatist group that didn’t like what Chamkila was doing. At the same time, the other focused on the fact that Chamkila had married outside of her caste, which was seen as a reason to kill her. Aside from this, other theories pointed to professional rivalry as a possible cause.

Some tried to blame his peers, and others said that one of his angry show organizers might have been behind his death. But the real world is still in the dark. Also, this Punjabi singer duo played at the same place where Chamkila did a day before he was killed!
