Hoi Foods Raises USD 500,000 from 1Crowd, Others

Hoi, a Gurgaon-based foodtech has now secured Rs 3.6 crore (USD 500,000) in a funding round of Series A which is led by 1Crowd and its investor community. Prime Holdings and Gemba Capital are some of the other investors who participated in the funding round.
The newly acquired funds are going to be used to expand the geographical presence of Hoi Foods along with building more integrated food solutions in the backend.
Hoi was founded in 2017 by an IIT Delhi Alumnus Indrajeet Roy. The Foodtech startup basically helps the budget hotels to provide the standardized food experience and good quality food to their customers. The startup provides Continental, Indian and Chinese cuisines with a wide range of beverages.
The startup also provides food directly to the users in a few areas in Delhi NCR with the help of food delivery platforms like Swiggy and Zomato.
In October 2017, Hoi Foods has also raised an undisclosed amount in a funding round, which was led by Alok Mittal and Sandeep Kohli, Sandeep Singh, and Sujatha Kumar.
HolaChef, Spoonshot, Fasoss, InnerChef, and FreshMenu are some other important players in the foodtech segment competing with Hoi Foods.
