As the world is pacing towards a digital future, the role of photographers has become pivotal. The world will open its eyes to view the environment from their perspective. Trees, museums, buildings, and gardens will speak for their location through the images, and the stories of individuals will be narrated through their portraits. PixaHive has also been known to redefine public domain photography. Giving a virtual push to this movement, the free stock photography platform PixaHive.com has announced its Online Travel Photography Contest for September 2020.
Founded by Rohit Tripathi, PixaHive is an Indian photography platform that celebrates photographers by rewarding their work through occasional competitions. The startup operates from PixaHive Studios in Mohali region of Punjab in India. It was established to revolutionize digital photography platforms in India.
Just within 3 weeks of its launch, the platform has received over 3000 pictures from photographers in India. This reflects the passion of photography among Indian artists who just needed the right platform for their talent. These photographers are forming their community on PixaHive and expanding their network by meeting like-minded people from the different parts of the country.
PixaHive’s travel photography contest will be flagged off on September 5, 2020, and it will go on till September 20, 2020. Rohit announced that the photographers from all across the country will be participating in this competition. Every participant is permitted to upload a maximum of 10 pictures.
“This online competition will open doors to the world of infinite opportunities for photographers and people looking for free images equally. While it would help the photographers in gaining exposure, the platform would also serve as a one-stop destination for people looking for high-quality images for their website, articles, or blogs,” said Rohit.
Initially, the photographers will have to submit their pictures on the website. These pictures will be uploaded on the platform to provide an idea regarding the level of competition to the contributors. After the last date of submission on September 20, the submissions will be judged based on the image clarity, creativity, and various other parameters. Top 3 contributors will be announced as the winners of the contest and cash prizes will be awarded to them. Other top contributors will receive certificates and goodies as a reward for their creativity.
Rohit said, “PixaHive looks forward to the organization of this competition in a just environment. This is why I have ensured that the family, friends, or relatives of our employees and directors are not permitted to participate in the current contest. We will ensure that future competitions are also conducted in the same manner.”
“The Travel Photography Contest is looking forward to receiving a minimum of 4000 images from more than 500 photographers across India.” This information was recently revealed by Rohit on his social media. He added, “People of all age groups can participate free of cost in this competition because PixaHive only values talent and appreciates quality.”
The guidelines for the competition will be announced on the official Instagram page of @pixahive on September 4.
