Nitin Gadkari Has Asked Amazon To Help Indian MSME Sector And Make Their Products Reachable Globally.

Union Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Minister Nitin Gadkari asked e-commerce giant Amazon to separately list the products of small units on its platform. He also asked the company to help small entrepreneurs market the products globally.

MSME based on Indian economy
The minister said that the MSME sector generates employment on a large scale and is the basis of the Indian economy. He said that MSME’s products are good but they need more expertise in ‘design’ and ‘packaging’.
Gadkari requested, Gadkari said, ‘I urge you, if possible, find a solution for MSMEs. You have good experience of working in the international market and if you can plan product design and give a new perspective, create awareness, develop the product of entrepreneurs in the context of the desire and need of global companies. It can be beneficial for all. It will boost your business and help the Indian economy. ‘

Is this a contribution to the economy
He said this while presenting Amazon’s ‘Export Digest’ 2020. Gadkari said that the MSME sector contributes 30 per cent to India’s growth and about 48 per cent to the country’s exports. He said that there is a plan to increase the share of MSMEs to 60 per cent in the next five years in exports in the country.

Need to develop agricultural areas
The minister said that agriculture sectors need to be developed on priority basis. 65 percent of our population lives in these areas. He suggested to Amazon to create a separate category for handloom, handicrafts and agriculture MSMEs in particular.
