5.Share the idea or story behind the venture. How did it come to an existence?
Manu Shekhar – Founder at CartDial strongly felt that if we could get everything delivered to our doorstep then why not a serviced phone too? He was sure that the repair market now finally needs a revamp when the manufacturing is seeking new highs, so will the repair market too. He thought a well-customized online platform would be required which he is determined to bring now, so that he could more actively get deep into repair ideology so as to provide it at best.
Where it all started?
In 2016, it started from scratch as Manu Shekhar and his couple of friends who were the subject matter experts with 1 delivery executive jumped into repair Industry. The primary goal to provide the mass an online service at most pleasant way drove the team into its current competitors circle. Since then, as of now, March 2017 and the team has swollen upto 20+ dedicated employees working together to achieve the common goal.
With every another customer CartDial is fastening its bond of a trustworthy service provider in this growing online smartphone repair platform. Huge leap in manufacturing and demand has made repair market a field worth exploration. - Who are your biggest competitors and how do you differentiate yourself from them?
Gadgetwood, JustLikeNew, Urbanclap etc. are our competitors. We fix iPhones and deliver back within 6hrs. We also provide “Home Repair Services” in which our professionals itself visits customer place to fix the devices.
7.How did you identify your co-founder? Tell us some thing about your co-founder/s
I am a solopreneur. But I have my core team members Bikramjit Bedbak (VP-Operations), Ankit Raj (Business Manager) and my Assistant Kakali Roy.
- How did you hired your first team members?
As on-time pickup delivery was our challenge, first we hired a Delivery Manager (Rajiv)who is really so good in managing on time pickup and delivery of the smartphones.
9.What expansion plans are you looking for the next 2 years, next 5 years?
In two years, cartdial will be available in more than 20+ cities for smartphone repair services. In the next 5 years, cartdial will be the leading smartphone repair service provider in India.

Phenomenal service provider for all electronics gadgets repair, sales and refurbish across the globe.
- What are your goals over the next 1, 3, 6 and 12 months?
Within 12 months we will be available in all metro cities in India.
12.Have you raised any funding? Or have any plans for the funding?
CartDial started as a Bootstrapped model and it has been successfully operating in Bangalore for the past one year. Now cartdial is looking for funding to expand its network in multiple cities.
13.What were the problems you faced during the starting days and how did you resolve them?
When I started, major challenge was on time pickup and delivery. So I focused on a dedicated logistic team who can manage device pickup and delivery on time. Then I started focusing on the repair part. Now we have logistic application and have pre post quality check methods too so that customers don’t face any issue after the repair of their smartphones.
- What has been your biggest challenges and learning so far?
In repair industry, biggest challenge is customer satisfaction. We at CartDial always focus on Repair Quality as well as time assuranace because “we understand your life without your smartphone”.
