Andaman & Nicobar Islands are a group of Indian islands in the Bay of Bengal. The palm-lined, white-sand beaches, mangroves, and tropical rainforests of these roughly 300 islands are well-known. Coral reefs that support marine life such as sharks and rays are popular diving and snorkelling destinations. The more remote islands, many of which are off-limits to visitors, are inhabited by indigenous Andaman Islanders.
