Adnan Sarkar From Dr. Bubbles Bringing Tea & Its Benefits in Most Unique Ways

Tea- Our love for this beverage has reasons more than one. Apart from having an amazing flavour, tea has other benefits as well. Tea contains antioxidants that help us to lead a healthy life. It indeed has some amazing health benefits like it controls blood sugar level, helps in reducing weight, prevents hair loss, promotes healthy skin, reduces the chances of heart attacks and so on. However, it all depends upon the level of oxidation, a series of chemical reactions that result in the browning of tea leaves. The less oxidized the teas are, the better impact the tea will have. In other words, you should always pick a higher quality green or white tea to enjoy all the benefits and get faster results.
Tea is probably the most popular drink on the planet after water. “Tea packs more of a punch than water” says Carrie Ruxton, PhD, a dietitian and tea expert in the United Kingdom. “In addition to providing hydration, it’s rich in health-promoting substances.” Scientists are with us, my tea-drinking friends, and have already confirmed: that one cup of tea may contain up to five times more antioxidants than any fruit or vegetable. These disease-fighting compounds may help prevent certain cancers, keep your heart healthy, burn fat and ward off weight gain, sharpen your mind, and help your body beat the effects of aging and stress. Now grab a cuppa and read further!
Tea is delicious and good for your health. “It’s also calorie-free if you don’t add milk or a sweetener like sugar or honey,” says Diane L. McKay, PhD, an assistant professor of nutrition at the Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy in Boston. Today We are presenting the exclusive interview of Adnan Sarkar.
Adnan Sarkar discovered the taste of bubble tea on one of his trips to South East Asia. The slight aberration to the experience of drinking tea got the better of him and he realised that it was a drink Mumbai would love to experiment with.
But then, bubble tea had already made its debut in India by the time Adnan thought of bringing it to the city in 2015. The chains that served it till then hadn’t received a very upbeat response from Indians who had typical taste buds when it came to tea.
Nevertheless, the young entrepreneur knew the exact pulse of the tea drinking habits of Indians. He realised that the beverage could find takers in India only if it was tailor made to suit Indian palates. If the tea stuck only to providing tapioca boba – which is the chief ingredient of the original bubble tea – it could not garner much fan following because tapioca boba is slightly bland for the Indian taste. Adnan ensured that the first outlet of Dr Bubbles Chai Specialist opened its doors to the public only after a lot of meticulous research and he himself assumed multiple roles during the process. From designing the Dr. Bubbles logo to custom building the machinery to get the drinks just right, Adnan was a part of everything. To cater to Indian taste buds, Adnan gave a makeover of sorts to the original bubble tea by adding fruit jelly and fruit-flavoured poppers to the milk and fruit teas.
