Having been in the field of Public Relations (PR) for a collective of over 30 years – Rashmi Shetty and Leon De Souza – Co- Founders of Storytellers 101 Communications – have a deep understanding of the importance of PR in the overall marketing and communication mix. Brand building – is at the centre of any PR activity and to ensure that effectively, one must look at a mix of media and non media activities. One also needs to be dynamic in their approach and think differently. With this at the centre of how they visualised PR – Rashmi and Leon – came up with Storytellers101 where storytelling for every brand is unique and at the heart of all communication.
They also believed that one needed time and energy to come up with innovative ways of PR for the brands and somewhere a mundane thing like travelling to work curbed this. In PR one needs to go out there and meet media and non media influencers, one needs to go out and network to understand what is happening at ground level and be connected to their clients. All these didn’t require one to go to an office and spend hours travelling and being cooped up at one place. Thus both these elements – Unique storytelling with media and non media support coupled with eliminating travel and exhaustion – gave birth to Storytellers 101 Communications in 2016 – India’s only remote working PR set up with builds brand through stories and vehicles that make an impact to the brand.
When – Rashmi and Leon – began this journey they began with a couple of clients and met their first employee after about 6 months of starting the company through their professional network. Though the couple of clients have grown to over current 20 plus clients (over 40 services across 3 years of being in existence) and the employees now stand at 6 (supported by 3 consultants) – they are glad that their first recruit is still with them:)
They are extremely grateful to their team, the PR fraternity which enabled them to get connected with clients and to their esteemed clients who have shown faith in them and have been with them steadfast over the years. Currently they service clients like Unicef, Ambuja Cement Foundation, Diebold Nixdorf, Marriott Kathmandu, Covestro to name a few. Their proposition of brand building that’s unique to every brand coupled with remote working (with extreme professionalism) enabling better costs for clients and more flexibility for employees , is what sets them apart. Their goal will be to keep up this momentum and build a culture of delivering for brands remotely! They also plan to build on their digital and content capabilities offering more services to their clientele. They are focused on making this unique model a success and enabling more people and brands to join in on this silent revolution.
