As the old saying, ‘Every big story have a small beginning’, BrandKeeda is also a venture created out of an idea which came to a student and professor duo based in Mumbai.
In early 2015, Jeffin Ani Johns & Dr.Samta Jain (A post graduate student-professor duo) started BrandKeeda with their self funding. BrandKeeda started with a humble offering of 4 to 5 services as core in branding and training, but with passage of time as of today they offer nearly 15 services on pan India basis. Today BrandKeeda is one of the prominent names in brand consulting for startups and MSME’s and specializes in unique and cost effective methodologies such as merchandise branding, local media branding, package branding etc along with tailor made brand building training programs for MSME entrepreneurs which have proven to be great branding strategies as compared to traditional branding methodologies.
Jeffin Ani Johns (26) is one of the co founders of unique concept of BrandKeeda, Jeffin is a dual post-graduate by education and have a proven track history of running small scale businesses even during HSC school days. He also have a wide spectrum of work experience of working with several startups as well as industry leaders such as Siemens, Mitashi, DDB Mudra etc and he is majorly the brain behind branding aspects of the company
Dr.Samta Jain (42) is the other co founder for BrandKeeda, A very renowned internationally certified trainer, author and academician with over 17 years of industry experience. She have a great array of experience of working with numerous industrial giants such as Reliance, HDFC, ARCIL, HCC etc to name a few and have even served as a faculty in IIM and several other colleges. She is also a well known contributor to several national and international publications and is majorly responsible for company’s strategic positioning and training programs.
Both the co founders have won several awards for their own areas of expertise and their synergy does proves to be great by seeing the results and brand value that they have created together. The combination of leadership at BrandKeeda does proves to be an apt example of necessity of combination of experience and new age thinking in order to succeed in today’s competitive market
Company growth and future plans
BrandKeeda had a humble begining with handful of services and clients during initial days but after completion of two financial years, the company have acquired several well known names as clients including the big names in corporate and government agencies such as Cipla pharma, Oriental Bank, Maersk, ESIC etc. As per company co founders, BrandKeeda does have plans to expand their services to Middle east and US markets in near future and also expecting a great growth in turnover by end of current financial year.
BrandKeeda is currently growing as one of the most prominent name in startup brand consultancies in the country. As per co founder Jeffin Ani Johns, BrandKeeda had been able to help over 100 startups till date in various aspects of brand building and are planning to prepare themselves to support and scale nearly 1000 startups in 2017-2018 under program “Startup 1K by BrandKeeda” with growing support extended from Government of India for startups under Startup India, Skill India, Make In India etc.
Its also commendable that the company had been offered several angel investor offers in past, but till date the company have chosen not to raise any funds from outside stakeholders. As per co founders, BrandKeeda might be considering an investor round by last quarter of 2017 as they are said to have plans to launch some of international projects in 2018 first quarter and as per sources, BrandKeeda might get a great valuation based on their brand value that they have created.
