Madal Virupakshappa is a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Channagiri in the Indian state of Karnataka.

He has been associated with the BJP for several years and has held various positions in the party. He was first elected as an MLA in 2008 and has since then won elections in 2013 and 2018.

Virupakshappa has been embroiled in several controversies during his political career. In 2015, he was accused of abusing his power as an MLA to obtain a medical seat for his son. He was also accused of assaulting a government official in 2016.
