Can Robots Assist In Fighting Covid-19 Pandemic?

Yes! It’s possible.

Milagrow’s robots will be installed at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the capital with the aim of helping doctors fight the Corona virus. In a statement released today, the company said that in Delhi AIIMS, it has announced to deploy its robot to help doctors. The company says that in a partnership, Advanced AI-powered robots Milagrow IMAP 9 and Humanoid ELF robot will be installed in Covid-19 ward of Delhi AIIMS.

AIIMS director Randeep Guleria said Milagrow floor robot IMAP 9.0 and Milagrow Humanoid will be tried at the hospital. Milagrow founder Rajeev Karwal said that “Milagrow robots are very happy to help AIIMS in an effort to fight the Corona epidemic. We will work together to develop more products based on the feedback we receive under actual conditions”. 

This is how a robot will work

Milagro IMAP 9 is a floor disinfecting robot manufactured in India. It uses sodium hypochlorite solution, which allows the robot to clean the floor surface. This robot is guided by LIDAR and equipped with advanced SLAM technology, which prevents the robot from colliding and falling somewhere. Apart from this, these robots have Milagrow’s patented real time terrain recognition technology (RT2RT) that performs floor mapping in seconds. 

The patients will talk to doctors through robots in isolation wards

Milagrow Humanoid ELF enables doctors to monitor and interact with infectious Covid-19 patients without person-to-person contact. In isolation wards, patients can interact with their relatives periodically through this robot. It also has high definition video and audio recording. The company has claimed an eight-hour backup regarding its battery. This robot can run at a speed of 2.9 kmph. It is 92 cm long and has more than 60 sensors, a 3D and an HD camera, and a 10.1-inch display. It also has eyes.

In India cases rise to 18,601; death toll rises to 590

According to data, the number of Covid-19 infected people worldwide has crossed 2 million. So far, the epidemic has killed 1,44,000 people worldwide. America is most affected by this. It has killed 35,000 people in the US and infected over 7,00,000 people. 

Total of 1336 new cases have been reported in India in the last 24 hours. The number of people infected with the Covid-19 epidemic, including foreign nationals, has increased to 18,601. The Ministry of Health has given information about this. The Ministry of Health, presenting the latest data in the morning said that a total of 14,759 cases are active. A total of 3,252 patients who have recovered fully after treatment have been discharged from the hospital, while 590 people have died due to the epidemic.
