Repatriation Flights will be operated from four additional cities: Emirates Airlines

Yesterday Emirates Airlines stated, that it will be operating repatriation flights to Dubai from 4 additional Indian cities of Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Hyderabad till the 26th of July.

We are all aware of the devastating condition of the world which happened due to COVID 19. And as a part of understanding the pain of those who got stuck away from their native lands due to lockdown and India took a step forward for the returning of these people to their homes through the Vande Bharat Mission. The motive of this mission is to evacuate passengers to their residential countries and bringing back the Indian residents who got stuck in other countries.

On the 11th of July, this Dubai-based airline announced that special repatriation flights would be operated from Delhi, Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, Mumbai, and Kochi to Dubai in the UAE i.e. United Arab Emirates between 12th of July to 26th of July

Now from a total number of 9 Indian cities, the airlines will be operating its repatriation flights till the 26th of July.

The airline clarified in a press release on Sunday that these repatriation flights between Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Delhi, Mumbai, and Dubai are allowed to carry only eligible passengers on both the directions.

The airline said that however the flights from Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, and Ahmedabad to Dubai will only carry passengers outbound from India. On the 9th of July, the Ministry of Civil Aviation said that UAE and India have come to a bilateral arrangement which can also be called the air bubble. Under this arrangement, the airlines of both nations will be operating international flights carrying eligible passengers. The ministry also that the UAE carriers operated charter flights are now allowed to bring Indian citizens to India from the UAE and carry “ICA-approved UAE residents” on their return leg.

ICA stands for the UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship. It is noted that in the journeys from India to UAE all these flights will be carrying only those passengers who are destined for the Gulf country.

After a tragic gap of 2 months (because of the COVID 19 lockdown), from the 25th of May, India resumed its domestic passenger flights. And since the 23rd of March, he scheduled international flights stayed suspended. Now the establishment of bilateral air bubbles has been done by India with 4 countries, they are the UAE, Germany, the US, and France in which airlines of both the countries are allowed to operate international passenger flights with certain restrictions.

The nation is currently suffering from more than ten lakh coronavirus infected people and the death of over twenty-six thousand people so far. May the homecoming of these people who suffered because of being stuck away from their homes at this hour of terror when they are most needed to be at their homes might compensate for the pain. The world is hoping for a fast recovery from this situation and longs to get back to its normal and regular days.
