Using tools like ChatGPT, in the opinion of TCS’s chief human resources officer (CHRO), Milind Lakkad, will increase output and consistency while lessening the requirement for governance. Also, it will hasten delivery and reduce the demand for ancillary tasks.
Although Lakkad forecasts collaboration rather than replacement, generative AI is a positive development for the future. We’ll cooperate with the creative AI. According to Lakkad, who PTI quoted, it will be a coworker who will take some time to understand the customer’s context.
The TCS CHRO said that the context for a piece of work being deployed will continue to originate from the human receiving assistance from such a coworker and will be industry and customer-centric.

Lakkad asserts that depending on the industry, different generative AI platforms would require different amounts of labour from humans. It will make managerial expertise less necessary. But according to the TCS CHRO, there will still be a demand for workers lower on the hierarchy since they will learn vital context-related skills.
He claimed that TCS is already using these inputs in “certain pockets” and that most of the work will be done in these areas in the future. He claimed that the full picture would be clear two years from now.
Lakkad remarked that the company considers this issue carefully and frequently creates plans in advance for future requirements, which will lead to revisions in training.
There won’t be any layoffs at TCS.

“Imagine a multi-billion dollar client that turned down payment for exceptional work you did for them. Most people would seek legal representation; I go with ChatGPT. “Here’s the narrative of how I recovered $109,500 without paying a cent in legal fees,” Isenberg posted in a Twitter thread.
Isenberg said that his company produced several designs for a well-known brand and that the brand praised the plans. Their communication abruptly stopped, and then the brand started ghosting them.
“Our financial and operations staff have asked me to step in. Before I wrote another email that would go unanswered or hired a costly lawyer to begin the debt collection procedure, I had a thought. What if ChatGPT made a scarier email to attract people’s attention? Isenberg as well.
He approached it from a student’s perspective, thinking that ChatGPT would be free but that a lawyer mailing a legal notice would at least cost him $1,000. We “asked ChatGPT to pretend to compose “a threatening collection email” to recover the $109,500 owed to us,” he continued.
