An deal was finalised on Thursday by TajSATS, a well-known in-flight catering firm, to build an in-flight kitchen facility at the soon-to-be-opened Noida International Airport (NIA).

As per the deal, TajSATS will use a Design, Finance, Build, Operate, and Transfer (DBFOT) strategy to build and run the in-flight food facility for 37 years. This all-inclusive mandate will include a wide variety of services, such as meal services for passengers and crew, in-flight catering equipment management, and meal loading and unloading.

In an interview with PTI, Manish Gupta, CEO of TajSATS, expressed his excitement about the outstanding potential that the Noida International Airport project presents for aircraft catering. He confirmed that TajSATS will offer premium in-flight and lounge catering, leveraging its forty years of industry experience and strong network to maintain its position as the industry leader.

The fact that this arrangement represents their second facility in the Delhi National Capital Region (NCR) and strengthens their presence there was also mentioned by him.

Located at a prime location on the airport grounds, this cutting edge culinary facility will cover 40,000 square feet and initially offer more than 15,000 meals each day. TajSATS’s position in the sector would be strengthened with this expansion, giving it a total of nine production sites in India.
