Other than IPL, the BCCI also concentrates on restarting domestic cricket tournaments in the country and the rescheduling of the bilateral series at home against England, which was to begin in mid-September. A possible dispute with IPL reportedly saw the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) suspend the series, and the Indian Board will be discussing a new tentative schedule in the meeting.

England cricket team is reported to decide to postpone their upcoming tour of India in September as the BCCI plans to organize IPL 2020 later that month. England is scheduled to tour India for three T20Is and three ODIs in September. The BCCI expects to host IPL 2020 in the last week of September in light of pandemic COVID-19. This clash of events is expected to witness ECB cancel their tour of India.
