In the greatest diplomatic victory in Russia’s war against Ukraine, the United States and Ukraine have reached a historic peace agreement that would turn the tide of the conflict. Ukraine promised to respect a 30-day truce with Russia as part of the deal. In response, the US has shared intelligence with Kyiv and lifted the freeze on arms supplies.
The agreement reached during high-level negotiations in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, may mark a sea change in the conflict that has ravaged the area for almost two years.
